    Spamalot

Woo Hoo! Managed to get some opening night tickets for Spamalot in the West End (2nd October). Now my big dilemma is do I go or try and make a mint selling them on eBay and get tickets for later in the year? It was a sellout in New York so I would guess it would be just as or even more popular here. Anybody had any experience of selling tickets on eBay?

  6. Count me in. I struggled to get to Pinkneys this year due to work and the summer closure was a real pain. There is loads of land allong the M4 at the bottom of the A404 owned by a turf farmer which would be ideal but I am not sure if they would be to keen us tearing it up! There may also be safety issue with kites ending up on the M4.

  12. http://www.petroldirect.com/ I can't believe how cheap they are - I ordered 60 litres of super unleaded and it was there, next day, left on my doorstep in 2 litre plastic bottles.
  13. About 20 years ago my friends and I bought an exhaust whistle from the local joke shop to get back at one of the local busy bodies who used to spoil our fun! It was similar to whats in the video but with folding wings so you could remove it. (A quick google and it looks like they still sell them - http://www.sillyjokes.co.uk/p-jokes/surprise/exhaust-whistle.html). Anyway, this guy drove about for 2 or 3 days with this whistling noise but then it stopped. We thought he had finally worked out what was happening until we noticed a shinny new exhaust pipe! My mate found out from his folks that he had taken his car to the garage and they had replaced his entire exhaust! Damn funny - but felt a bit guilty! Legal Disclaimer - By supplying the above link and story I am in no way responsible for whistley cars in your area!
  14. Caption under photo reads "Whilst bgiant kites danced in the skies, Robert Evans "power kiter" demonstrated his tricks in the air and on the ground. Hightlights from artical include "With his skill in power kiting he captivated his audiance" Rest of artical about the entire event and a disclaimer saying that its not advised to take part without tuition. And aparently he enjoys German Sausage

  18. Most of the beaches out that way are very hard packed cos the gulf is not very tidal. I have done a few beach dives a bit further down the coast at Al Kohbar and the beach there was very long and wide. Ideal for boarding/buggying. The problem with the inland areas of Kuwait is that most of them are very rocky rather than sandy. I would imagine it would be like boarding on a building site. Also, much of the land is owned by the oil companies, so getting access may be a pain! As for the temperature, for about 6-8 months of the year its far to hot to be excerting yourself outdoors. I was there last July and it was above 50 degrees! And when its cooler - its also usualy very humid!
  19. Like friends reunited you could allow free access but charge membership of say £1 per year to get full access. I beleive Paypal allows you to set up for free. This would probably cover your setup costs and keep it running? Who knows - you could even brach out into other sports!

    Which Blade?

I use my 3.5 bullet for boarding when the winds above 20 mph+ I would dare take out a 4.9 blade in that! Sounds like your on the right track but it depends on you level and how brave/nutts you are! Check out the wind range section on kiteatb.co.uk. This should point you in the right direction. http://www.kiteatb.co.uk/_windchart/

  24. I fly my 7m from next to nothing to about 15mph. Gets a bit hairy but the jumps are big and floaty. Not at all what I would have expected from a bullet!
  25. Only managed it in a 25-30 mph wind. Wheras the new 7m bullet provides great floaty lifts at around 12-14mph or a bit less if your skinny!
