Class 8 National Race series and Team selection

Thats is unfortunate Simon, and hopefully should not take place again, I trust you will attend in future if invited, as it is imperative from where I sit to involve WSYC in the national series. When will I play again? Who knows, I'll expect I'll just kitesurf for a a few years yet, no pressures, no hassles, and maybe when I'm a fat short arsed git I might come back and kick your arse;) :D in a buggying sense of course!! Still I do miss the crack despite all the bitching! Take care Love you Russ -

Well perhaps the meeting took place, then circumstances changed and they met or discussed the matter further. Perhaps your non attendance meant you would not therefore be a good representative for WSYC in the future, so have moved on. It seems to me you would have been best advised to have attended , and therefore fullfilled your role and duty as rep for your club, then you would be privy to these discussions, and your concerns could have been aired at the time. Is it not much better to involved in the process and therefore help shape it? It does appear you are quick to criticise but do very little to actually take part when it matters. It was the same within the PKA all those years back, what a different place we may have been in now if you had attended and voiced your valued opinions at pivotal meetings in the past , and again now. My involvement I believe is purely to add some form of balance, as you do try and make out all this is done with no heed of yourself, as the appointed rep of WSYC. It seems like you actually choose and prefer to criticise from the sidelines than actually get involved and help shape the future of the racing series, which I think of course is your right but is not the most helpful or politically astute method to take in this process. Your questions are valid, but mis timed and misplaced I feel in these circumstances. The doors to which you refer that the C8 meets behind were open to you and your club were they not? And if your club still thinks you can represent their interests on the C8 committee , which with non attendance I doubt, then you should contact the committee and continue in the process. Best regards Russ -

Now I am not involved in anyway in this committee, and am not active in the racing scene at all, so as many people will vouch I am unbiased on this subject. Andy will vouch that my location bares no relavance on my opinions either. Now seeing as as there is no national series this year (for whatever reason)but, a team is to be sent, then what has been suggested makes perfect sense to me. The top five from last year will go, well top six. This can ensure that our best and most qualified racers will attend France. Now if you qualified 7-10 last year you might be pretty miffed at this. But you qualified last year well done , but you have to admitt you are not the quality of the top six who have been doing well for many years now. So what this does is covers say the the other up and coming racers and absent racers of a very high quality, who may or may not of made those remaining places last year, if they prove there worth , along with the people who came 7-10 last year then they have a chance also to qualify. This gives a realistic oppurtunnity to this years racers as well as last years, and lets face it the top five /six would be chosen anyway either way through racing selection or voting. So lads get out there and prove your worth through results, because thats what will count. And Andy if you disagree with this method, surely your best argument should of been made at the meeting which you and Simon should of attended or two others from WSYC? I here you dropped out because the Supercup officials were attending. This method was agreed in a democratical way by two officials from each FED recognised entity involved in C8, I believe. Your vote and opinion would have counted , a no show doesn't. So you do deserve some flaming on this matter. And a blind ballot ..for christs sake it's an annonymous voting process, you all know what it means. Anyway back to the bitching you lot.....and good luck;) -

Andy why didn't you attend the meeting, no you just snipe on the internet as usual? I know you enjoy it, but you really do consume all of the baked delights from the earthenware jar don't you. -
Some interesting comments. I have recently bought a gundog puppy, and am gong to attempt to train it to feild trial standard. Nowadays the common feeling amongst dog physcologists is dogs learn by reward for good behaviour far quicker than by punishment for unwanted behaviour. Peoples discipline of there own dogs is generally very very poor, a dog should not be let off a lead unless the owner can keep full control of their dog. I got this wroing with my first dog, however she is a shi tzu so the consequence of her out of control thankfully is not very serious. She will return on command, but maybe after the fith attempt!! Now an owner who lets her dogs run uncontrolled then asks you to kick them, is quite frankly ignorant and stupid ,and should not be able to own dogs. It could result in the dog seeing all strangers as a threat and be aggressive to all and not submissive,as hoped for. Kicking a dog could make it aggressive, and could hurt you and the dog, i would suggest kicking her, untill she puts her dogs on a lead-I know this is opposite to reward physcology, but you must remember a dog is trainable, but a woman.......

yep, they are called skips:D well for the first three anyhow. Absolutely ****e those ones. And I tried really hard to like them, but the wooden acting, crap scipt, rubbish effects, really spoils it for me. Still Darth Maul and that lightsaber dual was excellent, and it was good to see the Jedi's kicking arse (not ass!). Apart from that utter crap.

Whats your point? What is degrading , homosexuals or biggots?

Interesting subject, and views. I think I must agree in the society we live in right now this kid could suffer some flack, but depending on the child he may well grow stronger for it. Certainly he would IMHO be a more rounded individual if it works for him. For all those guys who mention latent homosexuality , being brought to the surface well thats just bull, sexuality as any gay or lesbian is not a choice , you cannot be converted into a homosexual, and visa versa. Who mentioned the God thing.... I know he said he didn't believe in religion, but to counter religous nutters ,homosexuality is a natural occurring thing. Many many animals enter into same sex relationships, and many remain partners for life. It happens so it is natural. If you use the argument that Gay sex is wrong because it doesn't produce kids, then you must be a devout Catholic who never has sex for fun, caus I'm afraid most people do it for fun, not to make babies. Good luck to him and them, I look forward to a day when no one will question this as not normal, and will accept homosexuals as equals in ALL walks of life. And when the Lesbians will remove their prejudice of men and let me watch!!! Aside of all these points I just hope for the lads sake they aren't both queenie camp mincers, now that would be cruel!!

Sorry but you must ignore this person - he talks of taking a 12m out in 20+ as some rider???? Give it a rest you don't know how much he weighs what board he uses etc etc. I ride my 18m in up to 20mph and 14m up to 30mph. And I 'm not that good a rider. Remember a kites power is relative to the rider weight, wind strength and board used. So you might expect more power from a 12m X2 than any other but that means you fly it in less wind....it's simple. Next time you offer advice think a little more........ Oh yes and I am selling an X2 14m, and it's a piece of p15s to fly ,it does make me wonder how many useless idiots offer advice on here! Listen to Tweak he seems to make more sense

Well everytime I have done it I take the kite to the right hand edge of the window and release the bar, the kite then gently drops to the floor. Then you grab the ball on the end of one of the front lines (i think it's left) and pull it to bring the LE into the wind. However I have only done this in underpowered conditions ......, as I 've put my back out and haven't been out since I got my full quota of xbows or in any of the decent wind of late:mad: I can't see why this shouldn't work though.

Check this thread out.. http://www.kiteforum.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=2320901 ..a very balanced view of bow and C kites. In fact it's probably the most useful article I've read on the subject. And don't ask me how great the Xbow is, they are a jinx on me , after getting my 12m there was no wind for a few weeks:mad: ...then there was wind and I was at work, and to top it all I ended up ffin my back up bigstyle and now have a bulging disc:( and my next session is looking further and further away:mad: .

I think you misunderstand sexism. in can be positive or negative but it is based on pre judging someone on their sex. Again...it is sexist....but it's statiscally correct sexism.
-
maybe i give good value , besides my tongue is firmly in my cheek here in case you wondered.
-
lol, , but if you divide the amount of times we have "done it" by my current debt level to provide my wife with a nice house and car etc etc then I think you'll find you're all bloody expensive whores:cool: "burys head and waits for onslaught from affluent females etc etc":)

Insurance premiums based on sex define sexism. It's simple, you are being prejudiced against for your sex. Is it wrong?..probably not, from an insurers view it's justified sexism. However Women statiscally are poorer drivers-check out the last formula 1 female champ or WRC champ...lol....that is driving, they just make better ROAD USERS-from an insurance point of view.
