  1. Hi there When you launch the Blade, have a little bit of brake applied at the same time. This way you can launch in the centre of the wind window, and have total control. Get he feel of feathering the brakes against the pull of the kite and you will soon feel more confident. I have the Blade III 4m, and it still scares me to bits. I am 11 stone and very carefull what winds I fly it in. I love it though, and wouldn't get rid of it... Take care and fly well, Mark Dewick
  2. Buy a 4m blade and be done with it. You will be bored with anything less.... I promise it will be worth the extra money. Mark
  3. Hi there I have got my 4m blade now. It was well worth the wait, and it is an awesome kite!!! It scare me too, so be very carefull when you fly it. I haven't dare take it out in winds higher than 15mph yet, so great scudding but too scarred to try jumoing yet. If you can get to hinckley at all, you can fly mine anytime. Take care and fly well Mark Dewick
  4. I agree wu=ith others, get a Blade 3. It is awesome, and worth the extra £50. I have the 4m, and as I am only 11 stone, it is more than enough for me toscud/jump with-scares the pants off me if I am honest!! You will not regret getting it... Mark
  5. I too had to wait for my Blade111 4m. Well, only 4 days so it wasn't so bad!!! I bought it from Highwayman kites too, so give them a ring. Mark
  6. Thanks mate I will try what you have suggested.... Mark
  7. I have just got a 4m blade3, and I want to get some lift with it. Are there any techniques I should know, as I don't want to break my neck! How the hell do you control coming down so you dont break anything? I am only 10.5 stone, so what is the maximum wind I should be flying in? Do I need a harness? I want to buy a board eventually, which one should I go for ? Take care and fly well, Mark
  8. My Blade 3 4m arrived today!! I cant fly it until saturday, but I am very excited. The rucksac is really cool too!!! I will post my x-rays up here next week!! Mark
  9. You need to fly man!! Exams are important, but an hour of flying a day will help you concentrate on all the studying better. I know because I am doing a Masters Degree at the moment part time, and need to have diversions to survive it all!!! Can I borrow your blade for a year or so? You deserve to get yorsely a Blade 3 anyway so go ahead and trteat yourself.... Take care and fly well Mark
  10. Yea they are great. They are a bit jittery when stacked, so I am going to lengthen the stacking lines by 4 inches to get them to 54 inches as advised on the flexi site. I was flying them yesterday and got rained/hailed on so had to stop. How is the boarding going with your blade? That will be my next buy, but not for a while... Mark
  11. Does it matter how long the stacking line is between these kites? Mark
  12. Thanks for the info, I will get there soon. Mark
  13. I live in Hinckley, and would love to meet up and see your kites. I am after a 6 and 8 ft flexi. I had a 10 ft flexi in 1994 but sold it as the power was too much and there was no such thing as a harness! Wish I had kept it though!!!! Take care and fly well, Mark
  14. Where is the nearest buggying club to Hinckley. This is on the Leicestershire/Warwickshire border. I would love to get into this sport, but need some guidance/tuition to get me started.... Mark
