  1. [quote=>X I am just wondering, How much do: 1. Blade I's retail at in the UK 2. Blade II's retail at in the UK 3. Blade III's retail at in the UK Thank you If you put my reply at the end of this original post, you'll find it makes sense! I got a mail telling me my a/c was gonna be deleted for inactivity, so I had to post something....
  2. I dunno, but I needed to post soething before they delete my account!!!
  3. Cough..cough... I N T E R N E T !!!
  4. Wear pads and watch your ankles!
  5. Jeez, my 2.5m NPW pulls like a train in a decent wind... can't imagine what 23m's gonna do to a man!!! You sure they're not just leftovers from the Apollo landings?!?!?!
  6. Will be there, with any luck!

    dam dogs

First time I took my BIII out, I put it out nicely on the grass, attached the lines, got everything set up nice, then a Rottweiler trudled over and p***ed all over it... like a darn waterfall.... Needless to say I wasn't impressed - and sent my smaller friend over to tell the Rottweiler's tatooed owner!!!
  11. Ouch, too hard a thought to have... my ears are bleeding!!!
  12. I'm praying for a nice day tomorrow, cos livin in a small flat ain't exactly conducive to hanging out wet kites, especially with 2 other people here!!! Thank goodness for the mesh front on the Blade rucksack - at least it's not shut away becoming foisty!!!
  13. Heh, I know a girl who has a 1.5 Bullet and a board - an Air-S. She only goes anywhere in high winds though....
  14. Hey, caine - nice to know not everyone can debate intelligently and politely, and we can always rely on someone to show his relative immaturity and lack of verbal reasoning skills. I got some 4.9cm crayons you might be better suited to
  15. Heh, ya a PM might have been wiser, and avoided this pretty predictable backlash! HD - I know they need his specific details... that's why I'm saying it could have helped similar people to look for kites if they were after one too.... often folks just read the forums without registering or posting... but they need info too. I'm also a similar weight, so would be interested in those recommended.... I'm not diggin at CGK for trying to pick off a customer... I for one believe he wants just to give helpful and useful advice. Although I am diggin at the idea of giving that advice privately over the phone, when a whole collection of kiters could have gleaned wisdom from the same advice. ...call me old fashioned, but isn't that what the Internet is all about - shared information? If not, my 15 years online have been in vain!!!! This is a COMMUNITY, so share what you know!!! I'd love to know what the end result is - and what kites were recommended. It all adds to my knowledge.... which then helps me to help other people who aren't online, or on the forums. And by the way, I'd never have a go at someone for trying to do business. That's what makes the world go round. In an ideal world: Kite shop sells more kites = Kite shop orders more kites = Manufacturer makes more kites = Costs of production come down = More Research into new kites & Cheaper kites for all!!!
  16. Methinks it would be more helpful for Coastguard to go through the choices ON THE BOARD where we could all benefit from their wisdom, rather than on the phone, where only the dude gets the help... Imagine if every post on the board got the response "Call me" - it'd be a pretty rubbish board, and noone would learn anything.
  17. I'm over 15 stone, and use an Air-S... it certainly flexes, under my weight, even to the point of touching the ground... but I think it's supposed to be that bendy! Mebbe Flexdecks are the same - that's why they call 'em that!
  18. I doubt you'd get to the Station before being stopped by the boys in blue.... I used to have a Go-Ped (til some little B******s nicked it while I was in hospital entertaining a crushed vertebrae said Go-Ped and one tabletop jump at BMX course had inflicted on me!), and it's not a popular toy with the law if you ever take em on the road! They are minutes of fun, unless you have mates with em too... Now if I was gonna get a nice toy for windless days... albeit more sedentary than the power-board, I'd be more tempted into one of these.... Segway Hmmmmm.... technology, yummmm!
  19. Can't comment on the Flexi, but I and a few friends all have Air-S boards - mainly cos they're easiest to get round here! However, they're great boards - loads flex - so much that I thought I'd snap mine (being 195lbs/15stone (weight provided in both formats for reader friendliness!)) pretty quick, but it takes all I throw at it and keeps on comin! It's also withstood some very amateur downhilling from several weighty drunks on one occasion.... IMHO not having owned any other board, I love my Air-S. I'm only learning kiteboarding right now, but it's taken over 100 hours on a rough, pretty hard surface, several jumps higher than I would have liked, and the occasional sudden drop into a pothole which hurt me far more than they hurt the Air-S! Only problem I see with it, is that all my friends own em too, so it's easy to get em mixed up - or was, til we all piled down to the sticker shop! Re the Flexi - I love their shape, but the fact that they're solely for kiting put me off - I like the idea of having a board that can go down a hill too, although since I sprained my ankle, I doubt that it ever will!
  20. Well I'm learning kiteboarding at the mo, and find myself falling off all the time, despite having a good command of my kite before I ever touched the board! I think you're gonna fall lots if you're gonna make progress, cos you have to keep pushing yourself... and it's a heckuva lot more fun boarding overpowered than underpowered - which is just teeeeeedious! I find the best way to fall is 'padded'... £26 for a set of knee and elbow pads, and they're the best investment I've made.... every fall I've had has involved my knees initially, then generally my elbows - and it's so much easier to get the kite back under control when you're arms aren't numb with pain!
  21. Gotta agree there - wheeeeeeee!!!!!
  22. for that price, you're gonna have to look for a second hand one I imagine! Also, the size you need will depend on your weight... are you light or weighty?
  23. Now if only there was a betting shop around here somewhere, I'd have a tenner on the race for 'Ass Clowns who really should think before they type' And there's me thinking Tesco might have taught you something useful...
  24. Kiteboarding it has to be for the land version... for the water version, if Kitesurfing doesn't have it, how 'bout sea-kiting?
  25. That's because your friend is applying additional backwards/downward resistance to you, so you're kinda being stretched in 2 directions at once...
