I ended up with a Dakine 24" strop, I originally thought it was going to be too short, but it seems OK. As for being pain to take off and put back on again - correctamundo! However, I have left it on so far and just wrap the lines around the strop and the handles in the vain hope that the strop keeps the handles from getting out of order in turn buggering up the lines. Seems to have worked so far. Only had it about 2 weeks though.

Just got a Bump & Jump genius harness yesterday - it's wicked - makes so much more difference to flying the kite. I use it with a Dakine 24" strop between the quad handles. I thought the strop would be much too short, but it's actually very good. Don't worry about a roller spreader - the hook works fine with the plastic covered strop.

I'm not sure if Carl at TOTEK is still doing the deal or not, but he was doing the Flexi buggy for £250 including delivery (I bought one about 3 weeks ago). Apparently there were problems getting the PL buggys. The buggy was shipped from the UK so no customs to pass through.

There was a program on Extreme Sports channel at the weekend - they had a group of Idiots towing a guy in full motorbike race leathers at 70mph through a road tunnel!!!! When they got up to speed, he let go of the car and just cruised in the wake behind it. It looked like it was rush hour or something cos there were cars everywhere - they were honking their horns and generally not being too impressed.

I've had no problems with Carl at all, although the stuff that he sends from Guernsey DOES go through customs. The two blades that I ordered from him got stuck in a random search in customs, it made the kites about 3 days later than expected, but I didn't have to pay any VAT. Well impressed. If you order a buggy (I ordered a flexi) you get the double bonus of them being shipped from the UK distributor direct so totally bypassing customs.
