    can i......

im 14 aswell and if youve never kite boarded its not agood idea cos youll crash it and have to try and retrieve it from the water which is very hard also it is not a big enough kite you would need like a 40-50 mph wind to go kiteboarding with it if youre around 10 stone 8 mabye less might be different but just trust me DON'T DO IT
  3. lol i wouldnt let bangor grammar catch you beegirl you should come down to seapark sometime to fly its a good place its not huge but it works and the wind isnt bad me and my friend are going out on sunday. p.s. youre geography's fine its at the northern side of the west coast and the winds are big
  4. hi beegirl i fly down at sea park in holywood and when im in donegal at portnoo and portsalon (alot of ports). The bangor grammar playing fields would be a great place to fly ive played rugby there theyre pretty good i didnt think that schools allowed you to use thier playing fields though i heard there was a good beach somewhere but i forget what its called.
  5. can you / could you ever get an 8metre square skytiger
  6. my advice is try each of them out if possible from a shop or friend cos someone elses opinion isnt necissarily the same as yours will be you will only really feel safe if its the kite your most comfortable with
  7. hi beegirl i read you are aruond the bangor donaghadee area i was just wondering what beaches you fly at or locations as i am in the belfast area
  8. there's nowhere to buggy in belfast youve got to go to the south of ireland to the big beaches i just use the local sort of dog walking park by the sea the problem with it though is that there is not much room so you cant go out into big winds but its not bad (only recreational flyin in these parks). There's good wind here at the moment and you might get it by the weekend im goin out on saturday but i gotta get kite killers first.Cos i was flyin in one of the biggest winds ive been out in with someone who's never flown in a big wind before (i didnt let him fly) and my killers were made out of bungy rope cos i lost my others and i couldnt pull the brakes cos the wind wouldnt have let me land it so i let go and the bungys flew off the end;s of my hands while me and my friend raced down a 3mile long beach but we got the kite back and i decided to get a new pair of killers.(duh)
  9. never mind being sued the tension in the lines can cut of limbs if moving at the right pace and if you want to know how not to get overpowered get kite killers, let go.
  10. thanks im just finding all this out for a friend as he's getting a 12metre storm and wakeboards tons i dont have the money unfortunately if you would be able to tell me the price of a cheap good quality starter board it would be helpful
  11. at least it gives us all time to comb or hair and look pretty before being thrown off into the distance.
  12. cheers how much power would you need like a 12 metre storm
  13. awww nasty phone an ambulance early if youre going out today or tommorow the winds killer
  14. can you use a wakeboard as a kiteboard its a quiestion thats been bugging me

    Where to fly

come to ireland and go to portsalon there's not much sun but there's tons of wind and a 3 mile long 1mile width beach with nothing on it not even people.
  18. only cos i havent got the bloody equipment to do it with
  19. you could spend a bit of money and buy a stacker 6 this will get you used to flying kites that are fast but wont be mangled head first in the ground as easy as a delta kite

    Blade selection!

well if you have a big beach the 4.0 blade is great fun i am 12 stone 75kg and a couple of days ago i went out on portsalon beach and have to say it was the most fun ive had in along time i did one or 2 12ft high jumps and loads of 10fts but the problem for begginers (as i found out all too well) is that the 4.0 and the 4.9 blades try thier best to rip off your shoulders your fingers and after 5-10 mins in abig wind have too be landed or given too someone else.
  21. the question is do you have any relatives or loved ones that would really care if you died even doing it over water going up 60ft and then just falling (unless you manage to dive out of it where in that case you pray the water is very deep but, even diving will still hurt) its like hitting a concrete block.
  22. hi sand rash im having a really good day today so it depends on where you are but i would say it would hit you in the middle of the night and its been going for about 24 hours now so if you can get out tommorow unless its already hit the winds are about 25 mph mabye more
  23. You ever find that when the weather forecaster says that there will be gusts of reaching up to 30 mph those gusts always seem to miss out the place you think it would be nice to fly youre kite
  24. Be careful when making a buggy at home if done wrong you could end up with your kite torn on a pointy rock and a wheel poking out of your rear ohhhhhhhh nasty
