  1. I've moved to boarding from buggying and I would like to put a bar on my BII 6.4 but the availability of BII bars and crossovers etc seems to be non existant these days. So with the BIII bar available how does the BII fly on these with the brakes hooked up to the leash. Can't see any reason why it wouldn't work, but whats it's turn rate like, does any one run this combo or any other ideas. I like the idea of the safety as I've always flown with brakes there if I need them. Cheers
  2. Well ta for your replies, but it looks like I have the opportunity to get a second hand MBS Comp 16 Pro which is in my price band. It's a nice board just a little much new. Cheers.
  3. I'm looking for a board soon to give me something to do when there is either no wind, or I feel like a buggy break. Now what are the suggestions for a board that is just as good with a kite as it is just downhilling. I have I reckon about a £250 top price I'd like to pay, and I am quite heavy, I know some boards have a reccomened rider weight. I was looking at the MBS Core 16 (£225) but it might not be upto the job. Any suggestions?? Cheers.
  4. Look forward to seeing it.
  5. Does anyone know of any sites with videos to watch or download of PKA races. Never seen one live so thought I'd see if there were any vids about. Cheers Simon.
  6. Well I'll be flying down at Bulmershe any time the wind decides to return to the Reading area, which at the moment looks like never. Maybe see some of you down there.
  7. I have been looking at getting a set of these for my flexi buggy, how did you get them to fit up, did you use existing inner tubes or are there new ones, any issues with the front fork. And do they look as cool as they do on the web site. Cheers
  8. Anywhere elsewhere you could reccomend. Looking for some good buggy sessions after only a couple in the last month, damn work getting in the way of my fun time.......
  9. Is Ashton Court ok in the daytime for buggying, I assume you mean up a the top by the pitch and putt course. Anywhere else I could go daytimes, I will at my parents in Westbury-on-Trym, but can drive all over if there's buggying to be had. Whats weston like, I heard that you can only use part of it and it's controlled by one of the buggy organisations. Cheers Simon.
  10. Well I'm off next week and will be spending most my time in the Bristol area, and I have had a look at some of the older Bristol threads to see if I can get up to date on the Downs thing. What I need to know is whats the current situation with flying and buggying on the Downs at the moment, and if it is still not a good idea to go. Anyway where's good at the moment, days and evenings. Cheers Simon.
  11. I recently fitted up a speedo to my flexi buggy, the measurement I came to was 1240mm, so your close to mine with 1235mm. I would say that these figures would be accurate enough to give a genral idea of speed and distance. That and the measurement was taken without the wheel under any pressure of me being sat in the buggy, so it may change under load, but it was close enough for me. Hope that helps. Simon.
  12. Just do it how you like it doesn't matter, I use the Red for Right rule, but a lot of others refer to the sailing Port and starboard colours which would put the Red in your left hand, I'm not totally clued up on the sailing one and Red to right hand seemed sensible when got my forst 4 liner and has stuck ever since.
  13. I think you'll find that even though you can use a Bullet for Boarding it's primary aim is to be a Buggy Kite with a lot of power and minimal lift, so sort of a Low Lift Blade. But like most having not flown one, we'll have to wait and see.
  14. Cheers, Thats what I was expecting to hear, but I shall be heading out today, and I will just have to see what happens. Cheers Photek1000
  15. When flying stacks of kites, do you need a higher wind speed for launching and flying or can it be done at a lower speed. The minimum reccomended is 8mph+ for the 6's and 8's individually, but I can't find any guidelines for stacks, and now that I have a new 6 and an 8 I can't wait to go and find out how much more power they generate. Any info appreciated. Photek1000
