  1. Thats fantastic guys really appreciate the pointers. So now it's time to hunt for a 2.5m Beamer I think!!!
  2. They're 8 and 11 both boys. Was thinking the Same re the blade, real question is whether the bullet will be any gentler. Would the stings be any good for a land board?
  3. Hi all, I'm looking for a first four line kite to get two kids started with four liners. I have a blade 1 2.6m which is an epic kite but far too powerful for them I think. Maybe I need to fly it again and see?! Was thinking about a bullet 2.5 but started wondering if that was going to be the same power as the blade I've already got?! Any opinions? Want to get them going with the kite then onto a landboard and potentially buggy eventually. Budget of up to £100 but ideally less if possible! Thanks Noel
  4. Was having the same thought on the blades airborne, I've got a blade 1 2.6m and its epic but it pulls like a train!!! Thanks for the tips I'll go hunt on eBay and the for sale forums
  5. Hi all Hoping the collective knowledge here can help me out. I've got many years history with blades, fly surfers skytigers, stacker 6s etc I still surf a bit and used to have a buggy. I've now acquired (!!) two step sons 8 and 11 so want to get them into it. We've got a small soft hq type kite I think it is zero power but taught them the basics I've got a single stacker six which introduced them to some power and I'm now looking for the next step. Thinking in time I'll get a buggy again so looking for something that will up the power a bit could be used for scudding a bit of jumping and with a buggy in future. So.....looking for suggestions on suitable kites please? More than happy to go the second hand route, I alway love a bargain and I'm not driven to the latest greatest new kit so open to options Cheers all Noel
  6. Good thought, mine's got all my amps, consoles, movie server etc, Interested on the effects of damp etc, mine have always been in shed and i think they're ok, should i store them a particular way? can't really seal them in bags as then the water/moisture after use wouldn't disperse!
  7. Hi all, Wondering if there's any clever solutions to this little challenge. I have a small 6x4 shed that's crammed with stuff. four kites, two boards, tool boxes, bikes, lawnmower etc. Now the problem with this is that because it's such a pain to get the bike out I never get to use it, so looking at alternative storage options for any/all of the above. Main option appears to be a bigger shed but first off wondered if anyones got experience with these plastic storage box thingies (some look like a bench with storage under). Are these waterproof/damp proof enough to store kites in (Flysurfer foils mainly)?? Any other thoughts or inventive options for me?! And yes yes I know, a real kiter stores his kit in the car permanently but that's not a great option for me!! Cheers all Noel
  8. Morning all , I know there's been a few threads on this with everyone saying not great however I've just been out there for a week boarding, last day mate comes back to the chalet and says oh i saw a leaflet advertising snowkiting on the lake, muppet didn't pick one up but apparently one of the schools teaches on the lake that down by tignes le lac. I've never found any details on this apart from a couple of online mentions but no details. So....anyone there at the moment that can look into it? I'm heading back in March and would love to take my gear if it's worth it. Appreciate it'll be on the flat but still good for some fun! Noel
  9. Ok cheers no worries
  10. Hmm ideally looking for a resort that's got snowkiting within say a 20 minute drive. Somewhere like Obertauern for example but within a few hours of geneva!! Thanks for the tips so far.
  11. Hi all, Looking for a weekend destination for a wed night to sun night weekend that's within a couple hours drive of geneva with good slopes and possibility for snowkiting suitable for beginners. Anyone know of anything? Serre Chevalier is a last resort but it's a bit far (3hrs ish) for a weekend! Cheers all Reason for close to geneva is its convenient for flights from the UK from both Bristol and Gatwick Noel
