Seems mine set up wrong then because to get mine to turn quickly it needs to be powerd defo doesent turn quicker when depowered, than when it was on four lines n handles. Dont want to sound as though nocking vps on blades but imho you just dont have the control that you get with handles and you lose the ability to kill the kite.

I,m talking bowt stalling the wing with one of the back lines and spinning the kite to turn it not possible on a vps system no one can say that a two line kite will turn as quickly as the same kite set up on 4 lines. I know vps uses four lines but in essance you r flying as 2 line ie cant stall one side of the wing and therefore cant turn as quickly. The whole point of vps on blades is to allow you to ride out gusts to some degree there is no improvement in turn rate. Can be dangerous also on blade because unless you make your own safety sytem cant really drop the kite and keep it tetherd like on a frenzy.

Flexi already do a vps for blade 2 dont think they r doing one for 3 . Sytem ok on big kites cant really see the point on the little stuff. Got blade 9 with vps allows me to fly it in higher wind than before but lose a lot in turning speed. If you really want a depowerable foil then ozone is the one ,or else look at titan or warriors.

Just a thought did anyone make any statements about the fact that there have been accidents regarding model aircraft which led to a ban in the cannock chase area. Dont want to get into an us and them kind of thing but surely theres enough space for everyone to use the site. Wouldnt of thought that windy conditions would be appropiate for flying model aircraft. So if conditions good for kiting wouldnt be so many planes in the sky and vice versa. Thanks for all the effort you guys r puttin in.

Do you know that for sure or is that wot whoever sold it to you said. Unless it was chris calthrope and you thought they ment calthrop. Did u get the instructions for the vps with the kite some good info on setting it up.

Sounds right on mine the centre lines going through the roller r connected to the red toggles.The bar ends connected to the green/yellow ones. R u sure the bridle is set up correctly you should see a crossover in the middle of the kite. Failing that try adjusting the conection points on your leader lines this will afect the amount of depower you have but will vary turn speed you have to find the sweet spot for your preference. Also think when depowered 9m gives simalar pull to 7.8 you will only get the performance gain when powered up. If you want expert advice on this try contacting powerkiteshop in oldbury, They have 9m blades on vps which they use for mountainboarding.

9m on vps turns better when powerd up turn rate when depowerd really slow. Let me now if you manage to convert it back to the original bridal cus undoing them knots gonna b a t@at.

If youve seen the vps setup on blade 2 dont think you would want to try to make one yourself. As ras says flexi dont make one for blade 3 . There must be a reason for this. If you really need a dpower systems buy a frenzy. They were designed from the start with a depower system n they work. The vps on blades was an afterthought.

Blade 9 is very very slow specially with vps . In a buggy have to think about turning way b4 u need to actually turn. Great for crusing on empty beaches in low wind though. Luv mine 2 bits wish id left it on handles though. Depower not as important when u got a few kites just fly a smaller one when it gets windy.

Just a thought where does the money go. Why are the council justified in charging for use of the beach. Dont have any problem with the insurance issue you never know when it could be needed. But ainsdale have a permit sytem all you need to do is register with proof of insurance. Anybody Know?

Concerning posts on other forums forget to mention that amongst stuff stolen there was a maumagic avaitor harness black and yellow. This harness is not standard spreader bar replaced with new quick release type plus covered in grass stains used in land on fields any body got any info or see it out there let me know .
