  1. yep thumps up for Stuart he knows his stuff, helped me out when i picked up my kite landboard.
  2. I have the 7,9,11 21012 series and use the 9 the most ace kite! 11has a bit more lift and hang time compared to it but only risk using the 11 in light winds atm as I'm new to depowers, the frenzy's can be a pain to get used to in gusty winds, but love the costal winds
  3. Went for the 7,9 & 11 will prob see which two best suit me then sell the other, or maybe keep all 3 depends how much overlap I get, main reason for using the fixed bridles atm is that I don't want the air and loft while learning and im alsomusednto fb's, depowers are new to me so want to get some decent high wind static flying in first so i know how the kite will react. I did however get the 11m out on Saturday and used that for a bit as the wind dropped to around 7/8mph if that, and did notice a lot of difference especially in the upwind ability and also using one hand feels so much better . Just hope the wind picks up soon and have decent weather along with it, I always wear a helmet! Didn't think to much about the pads, but will deffo be getting some before my next outing.
  4. Haha I've always been one too get lots at once, mainly got the frenzy's as I want to get into snow kiting also and got them all for a cracking deal, I will be learning on my older fixed bridle kites, I have noticed, hence the no retaliation, don't feed the trolls. Anyway back on track had a nice session on the board down Westwood ho! on Saturday, along with a nice tan. Only a very light wind but ideal to practice in. One thing I do need to invest in is some knee and elbow pads
  5. Thanks for the love batz, will have to look into it
  6. Hi guys, Been kiting now since 2004, but had stopped since 2008/9 due to work commitments, recently found myself with spare time and needed to occupie it with somehing, so thought to myself lets get back into kiting, so brought a load more new gear, this time i want to get into the boarding side of things both land and sea instead of bugging( i want air!!), so went and got a few nice things, i now have 2 mutiny p-series 1st gen, 3 2012 frenzys and the boards to go with are a rrd placebo and scrub gld (thumps up here to atbshop did me a nice deal on the gld). Today has been the first time ive managed to get out on the gld, i travel the uk for work and am staying the night in clacton-on-sea so went and checked the local spot, now it is my forst ever time land boarding but of the few runs i managed im now hooked , especially after landing my first jump! It may have only been 1ft bu oh my did it feel good, and that was only using my 3m ozone riot, cant wait to get on my frenzy's! Ofcourse alot of practice on my smaller kite first! Just thought id share my little story. Hopefully be seeing some of you soon, i will mainly be flying at westwood ho. Sam
  7. hi abe, im interested in this trip, will be my first time snow kiting thou, been bugging for years, but have just gone and got me some new kit for landboarding and kitesurfing so will be getting lots of practice in. can i get some more info about the trip please, cheers sam
  8. Good starting point, hopefully you get the right tide times, just be careful of the soft sand on the ho it's usually in the middle in patches,
  9. Gwithian also has lots of camping sites, and dunes too not sure if you can camp on the dunes thou
  10. Hi where abouts in Cornwall? Gwithian bay is a huge beach with lots of rooms and in the right condistions you can ride the whole length of the beach, I last went there in 2007, do most by kiting in Devon now on Westwood ho, I can't remember there being any restrictions on the beach might have changed now thou,
  11. hey snitch whats dakhla like with the courses they provide? just spent the last hour finding stuff out about it, and am seriously considering learning there
