Camper Van Gallery - Free Conversion Gallery for all!
Craig Sparkes posted a topic in General Kiting
Evening, Started a new project and seems could be useful for kiters! Lots of you have converted vans, are converting vans, or dreaming about the perfect wagon for lugging your kit around! Well when we have been doing our vans we have spent hours looking for ideas, seeing how stuff is done and sometimes it not that easy to find all of it to look at. We wanted to create a site where you could host your photos that people could browse and see how you have done your conversion, a place to show off all your hard work! Or somewhere to host your images to use on other sites, but always know where they are. The site is called camper van gallery and can be found @ www.campervangallery.com Its totally free for all so go check it out, its only just launched but we are getting more content for the products as we get it! If you know companies that do conversions be sure to put them in touch, it's totally free for them too! Cheers Craig -

Hi Guys, Been manic over the last few weeks finishing off my new website. Craig Sparkes Freestyle Kite Buggier - UK & European Champion I have given it a huge overhaul, hoping to publish more videos & pictures now it is on an easier platform to work with. Also more general buggying articles, trick info, traveling with kit and advice for events for new comers in sport. I am going to make it more interactive for users of the site. Ages ago I had the idea to do some trick videos as in this thread http://forum.kitecrowd.com/buggying/freestyle-buggying-trick-videos-complete-list-179179.html I now have in the videos section a dedicated trick video section which will keep adding too. Check it out at www.craigsparkes.com Enjoy Craig

While out at NABX this year we were able to get up nice and close with chase cars for filming. We hit speeds of 60mph but here is a GoPro clip from car which has a 0-60 of 8 seconds. This was foot flat to floor and could not keep up!

Well what can I say apart from what an amazing week!! After some of the initial fears of this event taking place at the country park I think we can honestly say these were quashed. The event ran extremely smoothly apart from the initial park and ride ques as of the strict security control. Some of you may not be aware of the event so some brief info is that around 13000 students headed to pembrey this week for Beach Break Live which was a music/lifestyle festival to celebrate the end of uni year. Kite sports was one of the things that the organisers wanted to do at the event working with the local council. We found out that the local club had been asked to be involved and work with the organization but choose not too. We were then told this again this week by the council representative. When we found out that no kite sports apart from the tuition from blast(which was a great success) was going on we got in touch with BBL to get involved and promote kitesports at the event and ending up doing power kiting demos over the week and run a Student Kitesurf Assocation competition jam. All of which went down extremely well with not only the event organizers but the local council and beach patrol. All of which went off without a hitch. Now this is in no way a dig/slag but we were wondering why the local club chose not to be involved and try and see if there was any thing that could be done as this was such a good chance to promote kitesports and not only do it safely but also work with the local authorities and show the positive side of us! Most coming to the event were not local so as such would not be seeing this location as a 'kiting destination' but maybe go back to their local area and get involved with the sport. Now for the dig! I had borrowed the flexifoil van to get gear down and sleep in, and when arrived on Sunday and seen by a couple of local kiters who had been there that day was met with some negativity that we had gone done to do some demos. Was there any reasons why the local club was not wanting to be involved in what was a huge success? As a final piece of positivity the kitesports all went down extremely well and there were no problems. Below are the reports from the police and council. Police praise behaviour at Beach Break event in Pembrey 12,500 students are camping at Pembrey Country Park Police have praised behaviour during the first four days of the Beach Break festival at Pembrey. Officers say the vast majority of the 12,500 students attending have been in good spirits and well behaved. Carmarthenshire council said noise levels from the country park were well within agreed limits. Seven people have been arrested - two for drugs offences, three for theft and two for public order offences. Five of them were local. The festival, aimed exclusively at students and headlined by Vampire Weekend and Calvin Harris, ends on Friday. Concerns were raised by some residents in Burry Port and Pembrey about potential trouble. I think there are probably more problems in Llanelli on a Saturday night than there are at this festival Clive Scourfield Carmarthenshire council Chief Inspector Mark Bleasdale of Dyfed-Powys Police said he had been impressed with the behaviour of most of those camping in the country park. "There are around 13,000 people at this event, which would roughly equate to a town the size of Carmarthen," he said. "To therefore have had only seven arrests in three days is a sign not only that the policing operation is proving successful, but also that the overwhelming majority of the event-goers are just out to enjoy themselves 'Wonderful time' Carmarthenshire council's executive board member for leisure, Clive Scourfield, has visited the site. He said: "I was at the festival and saw the students having a wonderful time in a fantastic setting. "I think there are probably more problems in Llanelli on a Saturday night than there are at this festival. "We are very excited at the success of the event with students from Australia to Swansea enjoying this wonderful venue."

Morning, I know some people on here might be on Vodafone and suffer from low signal problems at home or where they often need signal, offices etc.... Well Vodafone have a new device called Sure Signal, this plugs into your broadband connection and then offers Signal to chosen Vodafone numbers. We get no signal at home but now have full 3G. Ok the data isnt an issue as its on a wifi network etc.... but for making calls it is a god send! I will be changing back to Vodafone very soon as they offer better packages just before had no signal at home. Defiantly worth a look and at a one off payment of £50 its pretty inexpensive too. Freestyle buggying doesn't seem to be getting much love at the moment on the forum so thought I'd post a video clip of a new trick that came about last session. Trying to bring a bit skate/bmx tech tricks across and see what can be done. Not many people are doing fork spins (Think people want there ankles in one piece! lol) but here is an adaption of 3 tricks into one. A Boneless, Aerial 360 & Fork spin into one. http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=342941145711&ref=mf When was messing around managed to land some onto 2 wheels so will mix this into it. Got a few more ideas for some other ones but wondering if theres something people would like to see done?
