  1. Primo vid ...........was that a PL guerilla at 1:39?
  2. I checked out the 661 lids,a very nice helmet indeed, unfortunately Brizkites is a bit far away from Nu zillund for me to take advantage of the deal however Torpedo7 has some nice lids on special-this decision may take some time @ plummet -I may have found some competion for your ol gray rollers,I have pics but have yet to find a source
  3. Alas my red fiberglass friend died a warriors death this morning as I was winding up for a power slide at the end of a speedy run I hit a patch of soft sand, the board stopped and and I ripped out one of my patented 1/2 front roll to head stalls (aka the rabbit hunter) Unfortunately after years of abuse this was all too much for my long suffering lid and it is now sporting an inch long crack in the back and the polystyrene liner is flopping around like a cock in a sock Sooooo time for a new helmet, whats the word? pimp me a lid,I feel naked riding without one!
  4. I'm looking for a kite to fit in with my 06 frenzy 7.5 and this kite fits my budget but I can't find any reviews on it,could you post up some info please-wind range ,turn speed etc Thanks Trevor
  5. I used to do bit a fair bit of mountainboarding and I don't think brakes would have saved me from any major stacks. If your doing 50kph plus downhill and things get squirly jamming on the brakes is just going to mess up you balance and make it harder to ride out Check out dowhill skateboarders, powerslides are where it's at
  6. Hi ,I am really keen on your frenzys,I sent you a PM regarding that(I tried, maybe failed:o) could you please update as to what avaliable thanks-Trevor
  7. Here's an idea! since there is a global recession going on and labor is cheap and I reckon you could probably screw suppliers down on prices,is this not a prime time to start a localy made kite company? I reality you only have to produce two types of kites, one low power-large wind range kite with big depower and saftey for beginers, and a more aggressive model for intermideate riders Hard core top level kiters are a very small wedge of the market and a hard to cater for-let the big names win off them If you can produce a kites at a resonable price they will sell.I'd hope that people would support the home team! Get some balls and a bussines plan and off to the dragons den!
  8. TBH your not that heavy,I'm 16 1/2 stone and I have 3 mbs decks a blade ,comp 16 and pro 95 and they all take my weight sweet as,If ur a bit shorter in stature then stance width might be more of an issue. Stick with established brands(G.I,MBS,Scrub,Tampa et all)and you can't go wrong. If you can pick up a good board second hand it will hold its resale value well for when you want to flog it of to buy your dream set up, check out the for sale section for sweet ride

Wow thats a striking kite! How did you find the leash safety set up?
  10. I see...,I have a 7.5 frenzy and I don't get enough wind here to light it up very often,I thought the p2 might have fitted under it (10 to 15 knots) I have been saving for a 10m+ frenzy for lighter winds so I guess its back to that Thanks for all your input guys, the help is always appreciated
  11. Looks like the venom13 wont have a low enough wind range for what I need Is there anything particularly bad about the psycho2?,it looks to be a good light wind kite for when my frenzy wont get me going
  12. Thanks for the info guys, looks like the flysurfer will suit the local wind conditions the best Devils Pubes? Didn't see any thing about them in the reviews
  13. I've been landboarding for about 8 months and I've got the hang of flying a depower(7.5 frenzy) but it's too small and I need a few more m2 to fuel the fun Two likely looking kites have come up localy in my price range that look to fit the bill,a Flysurfer psyco2 13and a Peter Lynn Venom 13 I was hopping to get some opinions on which is the better kite for the job,oh I have no problems solo launching Arcs
  14. Hi,I was in the same boat when I started mountainboarding(182cm and 105kg),dont bother with cheap ply boards,I ruined a couple before I got a decent board and never looked back.I use Mbs comp16 and comp95 decks with channel trucks I find the stiffer decks have lots of pop and won't bottom out on drops when downhilling and imo channel trucks are stronger and track better Those new GI boards look mint too!,Check out the Butch in Action thread he rides a GI Conflict
  15. Thanks for the info Danny thats reinforced some of the good things I've heard @ Jason,I'm assuming thats a bearing that the kingpin runs thru,is it stainless? Thanks Trevor
  16. Anyone using them? I'm looking to upgrade my flogged out channels for some newer kit and they both the fit the bill .Unfortunately I live a few hours away from the closest sets and won't get to demo them before I buy so I was hoping for some feedback before I part with my cash
  17. Find fsx 160
  18. Did you try riding your board while flying it?I find that once you get going kites tend to munch the invert causing gusts alot easier, something to do with more power being generated by apparent wind than just huff and puff
  19. From my own very recent experience,I'd suggest you get a depower be it an ARC or foil (I have both),the userfriendlyness(wtf?) and wind range of a big depower wing is fantastic. I went from a 3.8PL reactor which is a great kite to a orible old 13m gorilla (which flys not so nice) and loved the extra power and UPWIND ability of the big kite,I also got an 06 7.5 frenzy which flys more like a fixed bridle foil (but so much better)and I love it. Try before you buy but definitly try a depower
  20. The worst thing in my mind is that you paid then you couldn't play, thats just wrong. If you front up with the entry fee you should be allowed to compete,Just because there isn't a category full of entrants shouldn't deny you time on the course. Maybe you could lobby some of the top male riders to help you enter their comp-tell them that excluding women makes it look like they are scared of girls (maybe they are!)

Do It!! Check this http://www.remolition.com/ for some kite free gnar
  24. I dont like to hear about people getting hurt doing what i love but lessons or no,there will always be people who will serve as cautionary tales for the rest of us. if you can run a seach to find a kite or board you can take five minutes out of your busy schedule of muppetery to run another search on kiteboarding As the net is lousy with info, help sites and forums like this one there is really no excuse for forging on to failure If this sport wasn't dangrous most of us wouldn't be here now I love adrenalin:D oh and endorphins too!! That is all
  25. Thats the easy bit,I have more trouble sneaking them out of the Missus handbag
