  1. great video, don't think you'll need any tips on making a video, looks good to me.
  2. great video
  3. Double Ouch Bex looks like our paths have a similar route, i can also officially state the x-ray showed a cracked bone in my coccyx, and the weather conditions today are good - i'm gutted. Hope you heal soon.
  4. i'm sure i was in that position (minus the board) directly before hitting the ground.. seriously though, your comments make good sense and top of my wish list is a bigger kite.
  5. well it taught me a lesson type of bruise front wheels started wobbling at speed so attempted to shift my weight more onto my rear/back foot but obviously shifted too much weight as board shot forward leaving me heading for the sand arse first. Cracked ribs sounds a lot more painful though. Weekend looks promising here too
  6. some interesting and well structured replies to this video, but i can't help feeling the father was more in the mind set for 'You've Been Framed'.
  7. wot.. no telegraph poles!!!
  8. great video, like the fading overlay effects used to sinc with the audio, top notch.
  9. i know just where your coming from Bex, had a similar event at Mablethorpe on Saturday, check out my albums to see the result. OUCH.. Sounds like you had a great day, things can only get better - don't they??
  10. 5.2m yes you read it right, but a guy's gotta start somewhere, and i'm proud of the 5.2 along with 4 wheels!!
  11. Hi Comet, like mick said, its north end of Mablethorpe, adjacent to the Seal Sanctuary car park. Just follow the coast road from town or you could always catch the Sand Train , it goes as far as the Seal Sanctuary.
  12. some of the action from Saturday at Mablethorpe beach.
  13. an old saying springs to mind "once a tosspot - always a tosspot."
  14. Hi James, i've recently took up land boarding using a 3m Hornet and agree with the previous comments. Its got all the power i need at the moment and can easily pull me off when in gusty conditions. The only downer is its not so powerful in lighter winds were your 4m would probably have that advantage. Hope you enjoy learning the curve as much as i am.
  15. fantastic achievement plummet, my body aches just thinking about it. Hope you've recovered ok.
  16. great video.
  17. best of luck plummet, for a newbie like myself, your a total inspiration.
  18. Hi faceplant, i'm in a similar position as you, new to this sport, only really been boarding since last month when i finally got to the beach, and now hooked and looking forward to my next outing. Will have to invest in a pair of waterproofs and liking the idea of better winds in winter. led lights - thats novel idea... Bring it on....
  19. Hi Beachsurfer, theres as great picture tutorial at Coastal Winds Sports, showing details of how to pack away your kite (actually using a 3m Hornet). Helped me with the same thing. Coastalwindsports
  20. for sheer fun, i can recommend the 2 line HQ Symphony thats also available in 1.8m. With a little practise its quite easy to self launch and in higher winds it flies like a rocket and handles very responsively turning on a sixpence.
  21. great video, very inspiring.
  22. Went to the fabled beach at Mablethorpe yesterday (Sunday) with my son. Its only the second time we've had the board out and first time at the coast, thoroughly enjoyed it. The difference from being in land is immense as the hard flat sand and constant breeze meant i wasn't fighting just to balance on the board. Great watching the many activities going on as it was a perfect day condition wise, clear blue sky, warm with on shore breeze and a low tide at 3pm. Sounds like i know what i'm talking about but i'm a nubie at this game really. Hopefully didn't upset anybody's enjoyment has we were considerate of other user and tried our best to keep out the way. Can't wait for the next session, although i'm certain its going to be a lot colder by then... There's a couple of videos i put together in the video section. regards Mik & Jordan
  23. Mine and my sons first excursion to the sands at Mablethorpe. Conditions were great for a couple of nubies like us, had a great day watching the activities and practising on my landboard, only the second time we've been out with it. heres a few vids i put together: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9zxNsfZkjcw Qualitys not great, but you get the gist.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qP2XTx4ZaSM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CRASWxK7CEM"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CRASWxK7CEM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bq314TmB3uA"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bq314TmB3uA
