  1. Thats really crap, its just so hard these days to avoid trouble, pity the fools, they are jealous of your son being a free spirit and having something to do and say other than cause trouble for others, theres so little respect anywhere these days. Must look on the bright side though, easier to repair a kite than a head. Good luck for the competition, dont let the bastards grind you down
  2. Amazing - thanks PTW, Im well proud, thats made my day Yes I know its very rough, but remember its thrown together and although it looks like its held together with tape its actually a very solid structure held together with rope and the tape is protection from sharp hacksawed edges. Yes, totally agree its needs to be lower but remember its more a proof of concept, bored whats lying around the house, what can we do sort of thing, not to be taken too seriously. My son and I took it out for a wee test run down the hill and it held up really well, but as pointed out its too high and we also broke the suspension in the "back axle" so its a lot lower now lol, not a hundred percent on whether I should actually try buggying in it or wait until the mark II decides it wants to be built. Thank you all for all the excellent comments
  3. Yeah man its an old buggy pram, the thing cost about 300 bloody quid a few years back lol and the forks I found in a skip, oh yeah my ahem"downtube" was originally from a plasma tv stand. Next project is "WHEELS OF DOOM"
  4. Ahh its just cobbled together, the mark2 will be much better. Meant to say thanks to popeyethewelder for the inspiration.
  5. Havent tried this yet. In fact I havent tried any buggying yet lol Hope it doesnt fall apart. Anyone else got homemade pics? I will post video of me test piloting http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3415/4639122738_1f0084d0e8.jpg http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4027/4638532159_c09f36f87f.jpg http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3405/4638510299_6a52373ec7.jpg
  6. Ive been hugely inspired by this thread and threw together my own buggy. Please dont laugh, I know its rough and ready. Hopefully you will all get a laugh when I post video of me trying it out and it probably falling apart (hopefully spectacularly and not in a manner too harmful to health). Wish me luck (yes I have a helmet) http://www.flickr.com/photos/50532156@N06/4638532159/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/50532156@N06/4639122738/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/50532156@N06/4638510299/ Next project "THE WHEELS OF DOOM" mwuhahahahahah
  7. Mr PTW This is such a great post, hugely enjoyed reading all these links, theres deffo a good book there. Particularly like the pictures of the buggys, some of them are so beautifully simple, love the sun lounger one. Im so inspired to make my own buggy now, I have a wonderful three wheeler pram that is perfect to make into a buggy, just wondered if you could give me any advice. cheers

  9. Tin of beans, beans on the label. Tin of peas, peas on the label. Tin of cat food, cat on the label. Hmmnnnn. I know this is not an oxymoron, it just bugs me
  10. In the beginning there was no beginning. Science is 99% theory based on observation. Religion is strangely similar. These arguments have been raging since mankind could have a raging argument. Calm down people - we are all brothers and sisters here
  11. I am of "foreign extraction", but born and bred in this country which I love. I was wondering if I voted BNP and I was to be ejected would I get to choose where to go, Canada sounds nice, or maybe Sweden. Actually virtually anywhere but here lol. Also, do you think I would get spending money, I imagine my ticket would be paid for, first class and housing provided and perhaps a pension.
  12. Hey Guys Im from Glasgow and trying to get into kiting. Where are you next meeting, Im gonna make myself some offroad skates and I could do with some advice on kites and whats available and so and so. It would be great if I could chat to some experts. Cheers
