  10. Well here I am again. I ain't going to do another review on the blade again as there's plenty out there but I am going to tell u about what I have done to the kite. After meeting up with papalazaro I spoke to him about the power ring's on his kites. He briefly told me what they were and what they did so the next day I made some make shift ones up. I used what was logic for the rings(key ring thingys) and some thin ish rope. I measured them to be 60cm long so that I had enough length to play with while setting them up for my blade. I marked out line to every cm so I new were I was seen as tho I wasn't going to take a type measure out with me.. Quickly REASON WHY I tried THEM OUT was the blade wasn't flying right since getting it. After a bit of messing about with them I now have them set up to 30cm and the result is it turns better and lunches better to. Makes it more stable for me to. Why you ask, Well I no the 6.5 upwards comes with a cross over line for fine turning the turn and the shape of the kite but it wasn't doing much for me and I wanted to keep the kite as open as possible also the bottom leading edges seemed to not be inflating properly neither.. My mate who I go kiting with also said that it's a lot better now after fitting them seen as tho we were boggled to why it just wasn't flying right. My verdict is they are so simple to make and easy to fit.. for those out there they maybe new to kiting and are wondering what power rings do, They tighten the brake and power lines up near to the kite to give more sensitivity to the controls. THEY DO WORK.... HOW TO FIT THEM, simple. Get 2 key ring and discard everything apart from the ring..Then slide the ring on to the break line, Then add the line with a Taut-Line Hitch(or any not that will hold and not some lose(not, get the pun) the tie the other end to the power line(the not were you attach the lines to the kite. A there you have a easy little mod for any kite. If you fit them while the kite is out on the beach and attached to the kite take care as undoing the break lines can result in the kite going bye bye's down the beach. lol NOTE- as far as I no it only benefits large kite but if you have a small one (kite that is) no harm in seeing what happens. I'm thinking of shortening them to about 10cm to what happens. Hope this helps any body out there Also not to shore if this has been covered already so it could be pointless. Have fun flying
  11. After a long awaited time of me submitting my review here it is.. Well I bought my Blade 6.5 second hand on this site, days had past and it hadn't turned up. I can differently assume you have all been in the same predicament as me waiting for your kite to arrive(bloody frustrating) The time had come when the whit van man tuned up.it felt like christmas and being 10 years old all over again.. upon opening my package there sat the blade. 1st the bag look great, even if the kite was well knackered i would of been pleased paying £300 for a bag,(mad i no but dam it a cool bag) plenty of pockets, zips and room for am extra kite so long as it ain't to big. 2nd out came the kite all ready to launch, well not totally as i was still in my back garden. so i packed the cat up and of we went. The wind was about 15mph, pritty strong for my first flight with a 6.5. i could seem to keep it up so in the bag it when till another day that wasn't as windy. as u can tell i couldn't wait for another day so out i went again but this time tying my self to a goal post(not a smart thing to do so don't try it) same again. didn't want to stay up so i waited till i met with some local lads who was more than willing to help out. after a bit of fiddling up it went.(the kite that is) i was buzzing my dng lies of coz now i could get some use out of it, turning was a bit slow but that was down to the setup and the fact that it is a big kite. As 4 lift there was plenty of it especially with me being 10 stone.. the AAA bridal system is a good thing.works fine 4 me and good for pour ass scudding. As for winds like 5mph its a great kite but needs a lot of working to keep it up but still once its there u get plenty of time to improve on your own technique with out being dragged like a blue arsed fly down the beach. My opinion of the build quality is 1st class and well worth the money if u buy a new one, which i will be doing very soon. i love the blade spite being told not to buy one as my first 4 line kite.(it rocks my socks of) My verdict, If you need a great 6m+ kite get the blade with out a doubt but remember to get life insurance to as it can be a bit unpredictable at times
