  1. Hi Wolie, (its kevin here) finally got back onto the website loved the run last saturday..... I am sure you are already on the beach by now (good on you). Have fun I might come over & say gidday.....be about 15 mins.... rgds kev aka kitebuggykev
  2. guys & girls. well it was good to test the bearing on the old PL buggy. I had a good run on sunday arrived about 1-50pm on the beach walked up northwards a fair way .....took the 4.5mtr Ozone Razor out the upwind run was a bit of a slog & I was continually sideways.....though it definately had a little too much northerly in it on sunday arvo.......so yep the run up towards the 4wd entrance was definately slower..... However the downwind run was fantastic definately made up for it in spades . I know the razor is a race kite & to get the best out of it you do have to work it a fair but but gee it was a good downwind run. guys hope to catch with you next time. regards Kev aka kitebuggykev PS Jas thanks for the tip about going on sunday - you're a legend.
  3. well I have... just checked one of the various sites for the wind conds (11:46am)....winds are freshening thsi arvo....looks like a good arvo for a run low is after 3-00pm leaving nundah in about 20-30 mins :-)
  4. thanks guys looks like I am going...just checking BOM site now..... as usual if it has some N/Ne in it - will be up towards/past the northern carpark or if s/se down at skirmish or there abouts... hope to c any of you then... Rgds KitebuggyKev
  5. Hi Jas great to hear from you - sorry it has been a long time between drinks for me. Been letting stupid things like "w#rk" rule my life for over 55hrs a weeks over last few months. I just might do that I think - go out sunday instead - as I don't have terri tomorrow. thanks again Kev
  6. G'day all If there are any fellow kite buggiers here in brissy interested in a run up on bribie this arvo ?- I thinking about going up - the winds are "supposed to be NE thi arvo -if the forecast from webist is correct (???) Anyway its been too long since I have been on a buggy run & my bearings have probably seized completely by now. If I recall correctly there is the kite festival up at Coolum this weekend - so hoping it might be quiet on bribie.... if any one has better info than me on the current /expected wind conds pls let me know :-) rgds KitebuggyKev
  7. I have had a couple of Ozone's (Razor 4.5mtr & Little Devil 3.0 mtr) myself for at least 6 yrs+ now & have no major complaints. ...... apart from the handles which could do with some design improvements. Mind you with this winter break it has been well over 3 months since my last outing so am absolutely hanging out for some decent S.E winds. :-( Kitebuggy Kev
  8. Hi all, been a few weeks since I last my a post ...but enjoyed the video of the kite buggyin session....nice work. rgds Kev
  9. one thing that amazed me was how much beach had been washed away over last few weeks........
  10. Marty you missed a reasonable arvo out as it turns out.....yes wasn't a bad run at all on Saturday arrived there around 3:00pm, had the 4.5 Razor flying so winds probably around 12 +knots as I was over-powered most of the time. Towards 5pm winds started to pick up, but by that stage light was fading fast ...... still all in all not a bad run. Hardly anyone on the beach; so was very much all by myself most of the time....apart from the professional fisherman that is.. Kev
  11. Hello , it's not looking that good at all today just got the latest observations from Sptfire channel & winds still not that great..... any one considering going to bribie this arvo at all? Kite Buggy Kev
  12. Thanks, sadly the conds were very very ordinary to say the least....didn't even bother to get the buggy out actually. Oh well..... normally I don't venture up to Bribie when conditions are that calm but I went out in hope more than anything else as the next few weekends I am going to be busy with work requirements. Rgds Kev (old member alias was KiteBuggyKev)
  13. G'day all, I am heading out for a buggy run this arvo....again winds supposed to be 10 - 15 knots tending E/SE this afternoon. So probably head down the skirmsih end ; I am hoping to be there around 3-00pm onwards. If there are any takers who want to come along......I will see you there. Rgds Kite Buggy Kev.
  14. enjoy people I have to work on Monday. Kev
  15. an interesting thread....must admit after at least 5.5yrs of buggying now I can honestly say I have never kept a track of the amount of distance I might have travelled. Rgds K
