the 4.9 is so much better! its not so quick and easy to turn, but still very maneuverable with more power, lift and float! i have both and the 4 stays in the bag more often than not basically.

The old black ones and the newer grey ones all break! they're a bit dodgy, in both cases i've a few warning creeks before hand.

i have both the 4.9 and the 6.5 and they are both wicked, the 6.5 is a lot more predictable, the 4.9 will teach you a lot more, it has it own special characteristics. Whichever you choose you'll enjoy!

If you think you'll want to take it a bit easy then the Rage is certainly a great kite. Very easy, very predictable, very nice. Definitely one for the quiver. But when you want to push harder, it doesn't have a lot more in it. The Blade on the other hand immediately feels more powerful and can pushed to dangerous levels! With the bridle adjuster it can be set at different Speed vs. Lift settings too. If budget isn't a huge issue and you are in no rush, it may be good to get the Rage first and then progress to the Blade later. Otherwise, just go for the Blade but try it in lighter winds to begin with! Fair point!

the 6.5 will kick the hell out of you for a while, but when you get used to it mate you'll love it and fly it im much harder winds, such a nice kite!:D:D

i love the two, but the amount of float in the 6.5 puts a big smile on your face and the aggressive nature of 4.9 puts a smile on your face, personally my favorite is the 6.5 purely for its loft and massive power in lots of different winds, not to say the 4.9 doesn have power in different winds. They are both wicked kites, but maybe the 6.5 now we've got summer wind!!
