  1. looks HUGE!!! where is it??? west coast somewhere.
  2. will still got it??? I'm up at dearham, and er, I bust my guerilla already its in for repairs now should be fixed by the wkd. I haven't met you, but I think my dog has (he's a border collie that likes to chase kites). would the 11m guerilla's lines and bar set up be suitable atall?? just thinking as its close to home, so i can see it, and maybe ideal for when I progress to water later on (thinking G2 is OK on water, but will fill eventually, and harder to relaunch as the tips stick together and it bowties on the drop of a hat), and its hopelessly cheap:) el pumpo included??
  3. 22m FUNK didn't know they made tehm that big. my mate has a 20m airrush and thats riduculously pointless unless its the steadiest 6mph on the planet, and even then, takes two people to set up minimum. so I take it hasn't been used much then
  4. I haven't heard that tune in ages. whats it called again?? waterfall something. not a particulary great one, but sticks in the mind, and then gets annoying love the bit where you get stranded ar$e deep in the pond then sit there for a while
  5. serious help but seriously funny, made me laugh. I don't think they quite see the point, gettin dragg'd the length of a field on your face doesn't really appeal to me music was very suited. but yes, sad truth is, it looks bad, very bad. problem is they sell kites and boards in argo's, a regular chav could be out making hell for anybody anywhere for as little as £65:( thats for a kite powerful enough and a board with wheels
  6. scrub ejector is fair cheap, and I've liked that more than anything else I've tried out
  7. kites + helicopters = big knots in your lines
  8. MINT, I'm going to get one in the morning got a rigid tow bar thing for towing another vehicle from them for £9.99 before xmas. still haven't used it, but then I've been spending my £££ on kites rather than other cars to fix up
  9. free to a poor student (bar postage). or is that just too cheaky
  10. yeah that damn water comes in and makes the sand soggy as anything. the only local beach that allows wind powered vehicles is ALWAYS soft as its relativly flat
  11. their can't be that much difference between them. got a g2 11m, and still trying to figure out how the hell it flies!!!! its just a mass of ripstop nylon, two straps, and two bits of carbon pole. wheras your big foil on a bridle makes sense and keeps its shape. either way, anything peterlynn'ish and arc shaped seems to get rave reviews.
  12. tis a scam.. in the real UK lotto you buy a pink/red ticket in a shop, and you don't give any details. to claim the prize you must have/own the ticket. you loose it, you loose the prize and it gets rolled over to the next week. they would never have your email or adress or name or anything. only thing they know is when and where you bought it, then coupled with cctv (on police request) they can see what you look like. etc
  13. flew a 7.0m sammurai RIGHT after my own 3.5m bullet (2004 I think) in the same wind. and wanted to STAY with the sammi. a lot more predictable, slower, actually gives some form of lift, and pulled very smoothly. obviously it wasn't a like for like comparison, but still, it gave me a very good impression of it. and I am kind of regretting getting the bullet, its a nice kite as far as moving along goes, but static is hard work with it, and I hear you on the edging power, talk about folding up:rolleyes: a newer blade or a sammi is the way to go. MOST people on here own one of the two OR both, says something doesn't it
  14. as far as I've learn't already, don't just buy the first cheap de power you come across. I looked, I got excited, then I got told on good authority that I'd be wasting my money (all £40 of it) and to invest in something still relativly modern and friendly, and bugger it, he was right. bought a peter lynn guerilla 2 11m from a guy I know locally, and already its saved my ass twice. my friend bit off a bit more than he should be chewing and he's paid the concequences (broken bones and broken pride). so yes, spend as much as you can on the kite and lines, and the rest will fall into place. I'm thinking about building my own board too, as when I actually get near the water I'm likely to loose it and I don't want it to be £200 of loosable gear either. theres plenty of people on here and other sites that have made their own boards inc new bindings and fins for well under the £50 mark and in just 2weeks too
  15. oh and the rnli aren't the gods of the sea they sometimes make out, they accidently got flipped by a rogue wave on a 18ft rib off shore of south shields (newcastle area) there were 4 of them in the sea for 20mins plus. my 3 mates were out kiting at 11pm at night, saw a distress flare and pulled them out of the sea, then arose the coastguard who between them (12people in all in rescue now) lifted the boat out the water and gather the disorientated crew up
  16. its a good idea. I'm a keen paddler (kayaker) and my name and address and home number is written inside the boat. and on my paddle. its been known that huge rescue operations have been launched over lost boaters that are actually in the pub had a funny one (sort of) in november. my mate got a phone call from the coastguard saying they had recovered his boat from the mouth of the tyne where all the docks are. funny thing was, he sold *that* boat at least 2years ago. and the new owner hadn't thought to erase it (hard) and put a new one in, or had they thought to contact the coastguard to tell them not to do a search if they came across a orange/lime wavesport kayak incompetant is a word that comes to mind. Yes I'm all for a national tagging campaign. it wouldn't exactly cost much. and if there is a system, i.e two tags on kite when your not using it (i.e packed away) and when your out and about put one tag on your person, the other left on the kite. that way they know if the kite simply blew away whilst setting up (common I would imagine) or someone was using it. then if you do loose it, at least have the balls to phone the coastguarda and tell them not to pursue it, asyour safe etc. common courtousy really
  17. a tempting bit of death on the side??? spoked wheels are only really strong up and down, any lateral forces in there and the thing will buckle and implode, ever watched soapbox racing??? well add a kite and 40mph and erm, yes...
  18. un perfect trampa???
  19. they'll be alu. and I'd be fairly sure hope technolgogies (spelling) who do bling bike bits will help you out. they'll clean em and just stick em in with one of their batchs I'd imagine. try and phone them, they are some of the most helpful people on a telephone that you can get:D if that fails then try goldtec/BETD they are another bike bling manufactuer who specialise in one off creations. I once got a series of adjuster knobs made for my old rockshox out of alu, sent them a 3d CAD drawing in an email, some money, and hey presto, bling home designed custom bits :D:D
  20. I'm out of breath reading that nothing wrong with it really. no where near as bad as the car I once bought on ebay. description read... Volvo 740GL SR exec, green, selling due to family moving abroad. that was it!!!! but I won it, and she was a bloody minter, (see sig pic, if it ever works). heres what I did with it. http://www.slightlycliveracing.com then go to diary and look at all the pretty pictures nopers sig and avatar just WON'T WORK  works on every other forum, just not this oen
  21. t cut is a bit harsh. use a medium auto 'polish' like simonz max wax (regulary found in poundshops:)), or something finer to finish it would be autoglym super resin polish. t cut is very abrasive and I certainly wouldn't put it near any car paintwork never mind carbon boards
  22. thanks toxic and jim. hopefully find the rest of the album on amazon
  23. no its the grey from the top sheet. just looks dirty cos of the colour, scrubbed mine damn hard, and no change, it just IS that colour
  24. TOXICFILMS, where did you find the whalefish song, I sodding love it. sounds like it has some soundbites from python sketchs
  25. nothing wrong with it from my point of view. video editing is fine. sound erm yeah, just a track, pondlife has A MINT soundtrack, ESPECIALLY the whalefish song OMG I love it. I have a 3.5 bullet and it doesn't really jump, not designed for it. but with the 7 it looks quite floaty
