I would have to say go for Trampa board. If you give Ted a ring he may an "imperfect" deck which he will sell you for very few of your beer tokens. I got one off him for £130 including Scrub skate trucks, hubs,tires and bindings. Plus I have yet to any real imperfections in it! Russ

Well this is my pride and joy. It is a 14 ply, 35 deg long Trampa deck with Scrub Channel trucks. It is new today so has nto even see mud yet. Russ

Well my shiney new trampa deck has arrived completed with Scrub channel trucks and the 4m Sami 2 is packed and ready . Before I make my first trip into the land of kiteboarding, anyone got any tips or advice? Cheers Russ

Right Ping is not a great tool to measure latency as it only measure the round trip time from you to the server and back. Ebay may not respond if there severs/perimeter devcies are set to block ICMP packets (which make up the Ping command). The reason you stuffer from latency can be a huge number of things, but the most common ones are either a large amount of traffic on your ISP's network or a server which is under a large load. Stopping any downloads etc will help, but if the ISP's network is taking a pasteing then there is not much you can do. One other trick is not reduce the number of deives between you and the server so if you are going though a router at the moment then try just just using the modem and going straight out if you can. Right I think there are plenty of ideas kicking around here, but is anyone going to do anything? With so many brand reps around here the review situation can easily be sorted with some pressure and support. At the end of the day if the Power Kite industry wants to move forward then maybe they should take a leaf out of the books of other mags and build business links ( not just meeting them every so often for a trip) with the big compaines. This will give them access to the lastest kit and also the compaines get promotion of the goods. As for the learning aspect Frakke has hit the nail on the head with the idea of have progession in the complexity of tricks. There does have to be a balance between the newbie stuff and the advanced tricks but it should be easily achived. Then everyone can learn somthing new! With photo's being repeated, that comes down to two factors. One is a poor editing and the other is the fact that people need to take more pics! Noserider and other have been taking some great shots but we can not rely on them as I am sure they have jobs to do! At the end of the day the only way the mag is going to get better is with surpport of its readers and the power kite community. So what articals/tricks/photos do people have planned? Russ
