    Pansh

I bought my Father in Law a 3m Pansh Blaze kite for an Xmas present 2 years ago, after he'd showed a keen interest in kiting after a great holiday where we all spent most days down on the beach with the Flexifoils, but he'd said he didn't really want to spend a lot of money on something me might not get to use that often. I agree that the handles and lines leave much to be desired, but with what we saved price wise, and a trip to the local ATB shop, Flexifoil lines, Handles and kite killers were added. The kite flew like a dream, was powerful enough to give him a decent workout, and we were all really happy with it. So much so that, I purchased a second one for myself, and did exactly the same. I know you don't get an instruction manual, with all the details of setting up, larkshead knots, flying windows etc, but having bought several Flexi's I had a few to spare. All in all they are a fun and very affordable kite. Handle well in the smaller sizes, and as long as your happy to upgrade lines and handles, you'll have a kite that will serve you well.
  2. OK, well it's been forever since I posted, but, I did paris on a shoestring budget back in 2002, and had a real blast. The Eiffel Tower, you have several options, you can walk most of the way, cheapest. You can walk half, take the lift for half, or do lifts for the whole way, We found best time was first thing in the morning, as fewer people and less queues. Metro is a great way to travel round, just like the underground, get a map and a day pass, and just pick a station and go exploring. Notra Dame is well worth a visit, and then you can actually stroll along side the river which is really cool of an evening, and watch the Lights of the city come to life. Moulin Rouge is worth every penny, yes you get dinner and the show, but be warned, it's in the seedy area, and just down the road from there is the sexm museum, always good for a giggle, and for about 5 euros it's a great way to kill an hour or two. If your gonna take taxi's anywhere, make sure you know the exact address of where your going, and I mean road, area etc, and agree fare in advance, I got caught out, as one driver took me to wrong side of the city coz two streets named the same. Loads of great shopping, food places and some of the little back street cafe's are really great value for money. And one last thing, don't try crossing the road to get to the middle of the Arc' De T, as you will most likely get hit by some mad french driver, I did!!!!

    Teeth

I cheated and downloaded a copy I found on the net, tis a funny film, but not one worth paying to see in a cinema
  4. Decent truckstop at Swindon, J15 side, follow signs for Oxford, and it's behind the Sainsburys on the Oxford road, Also Blagrove Ind Estate on the J16 of Swindon, loads of truckers use it over night.
  5. Having just read the article, and all of your comments, whether the dog died or, was released, it should NOT have happened, nor been allowed to happen. Animal cruelty is one of the lowest things a so called human can resort to, no animal asks to be mistreated, whether it's a tied up dog left to starve, a puppy kicked, whatever. Mans Best Friend, makes you wonder if they'd rather just be left alone
  6. Have a simular problem, if Maplin have no record of your contract, then you are within your rights to not give notice, however should you need a reference from them it would be better to not just walk out. this will not look good, no company can legally write you a bad reference, they can however refuse to write one, and this would not look good for a future employer. You could as good will on your side, offer to work until the end of the week, but clearly state that this is so as not to leave the branch you work in, short staffed.
  7. OK bought this game, having seen the cool trailers, and thought give it a go, not happy about the single player mode, as all the ad's said team up, but thats an online option only. Graphics are cool, driving realistic, but like several people have said will be bored within a month
  8. Was up the horse, from 11 til about 2pm. Was really good fun, had a chance to get all the kites out, for a decent airing. Wind wasn't as good as it could have been but, still can't have everything.

    Fireworks!

Hate fireworks night!!!!! If it was only 1 night ie 5th November, wouldn't be so bad, but as it is, makes my dogs scared to go out of a night time, and a large vets bill to have em "calmed" for well over a month, while every idiot who thinks it's great fun to let em off at all times of the night. Organised displays are cool, and I'll happily stand there and ooh, and aah with the best of em, but please, for one night only. Local shop in Devizes sells fireworks all year round. So just about any pleb can buy em and scare animals to death in these parts.
  10. So who else on here, has purchased a Punk edition? I got one on Saturday, and think it looks really cool.
  11. I asked, but the girl or even just a pic of the girl isn't included, so unfair advertising me thinks
  12. My Brother keeps a few snakes, and has found that most of the bought Plastic plants, can't cope with larger snakes weight etc. His solution, find branches from fallen tree's, Strip the bark off and leave to dry out completely, (or purchase from pet shops) then wrap them with plastic vines, ivy etc. Looks more realistic, and make for happy snakes as they can sliver up the branch and tickle their underbellies on the fake leaves lol. It's worked for him, and he's been keeping snakes for over 10 years
  13. Well I was bought a harness, for an xmas pressie last year, I thought yeah great, save my arms, fly longer etc. So I connected the strop to my handles of my then Blade III 4mtr, and was flying kinda happily in about 15mph winds, when suddenly, a gust over over 30mph, caught the kite, me, strop and harness, and superman'd me down a field by about 20ft. I didn't have time to unhook the strop and badly hurt my shoulder as I landed badly. I've not used the harness since, and ended up selling the Blade as with the damage I did to my shoulder I was just unable to control it. I know this is only my experience, but I'm sure many others have had other simular accidents, when caught out by a sudden gust.
  14. Try Using WINAVI programme, it'll convert in either direction I'm always converting AVI files to VOB's, and it will do it the other way too
  15. Our mum always used to tell us, we should never eat to far into the core of an apple, as if you swallowed the seeds , then an apple tree would grow in your stomach. I have never to this day been able to eat a tomato (to many seeds). Even though I know it's not gonna happen, that saying still sticks in my head somehow

    Harry Pothead

OK, so I was sad enough to be at WH Smiths at midnight to collect the copy I pre ordered back in February, the people in the queue were all having a laugh and joke about it all, and so I bought my book and went home, I took just over 6 hours to read it, and yes it's a good read, yes I know when they make the film they will have to leave loads out, otherwise, the film will be about 4 hours long. I have to give JK Rowling her due, she has managed to get children of all ages, away from the TV Screen, off of consoles and computers, and back into reading, so I have to say fair play to her for that.

    samsung lcd

I'd have to go with the LG, after much searching around in the xmas sales, for a large screen, 42" just wasn't gonna cut it, settled on the 50" LG 50PC56 HD Ready 100Hz Digital Plasma TV. the picture quality was equal to, if not better than some well known brands. After some research, did find out as already stated that LG produce TV's for several other Brands, just stick a different label on it and bobs your uncle. Hike the price up by a few hundred quid. So far, the TV has been great, picture quality is amazing, Sky HD looks cool on it, PS3 looks amazing, and even the old Xbox looks good. Only downside to having such a big tv, is the wall mounted swivel and tilt bracket is like £400, so it's just gonna have to stay on the TV stand they gave us free lol
  18. Depending on the content of the DVD you wanna copy, if it's encoded, then do a google search for a DVD Decoder, normally these are free, and widely available, then you have several options, using Nero will burn your new disk, but all the data may not fit onto one disk, so something like DVD Shrink is good for that, or Roxio Easy DVD Creator is fine as well.
  19. Have 2 tickets booked with them for Scissor Sisters at the O2 arean later this month, booked way back in Feb, but still no sign of the actual tickets as yet, but loads of emails confirming booking etc, they had better arrive by the end of next week, or like you I'll be hacked off too

    mobile phones

A phone is a phone is a phone!!!! If you want to take pictures, get a camera If you wanna listen to music get an MP3 player A phone makes and receives calls, sends and receives texts. I have broadband connection on my PC at home so why would I want to pay well over the ood's to connect to the internet via mobile phone, just because I have 10 minutes free during the day, and I'm bored. When I changed my contract I was offered the all singing all dancing phone from the shop, so I said yeah ok, I'll have the best you can offer, I promptly put it on Ebay, and made a few hundred quid, the sim card went into my old phone, and I still make use of that. I must be getting old though as I really don't understand why people feel the need to play their MP3's via there phone as they are walking down the street, technology was supposted to have moved on, ever walkmans had headphones. PS don't even get me started on annoying ringtones lol Well thats my 2p's worth, I feel better for a little rant of an afternoon lol
  21. 6'1"
  22. Try going into superdrug, as they always have 3 phones on offer from as little as 4.99, ok it might mean putting a 20 ud top up but hey your missus i bound to use that up at some point
  23. Dog's win paws down every time
  24. Microsoft's Powerpoint, or even a standard Paint programme will do the trick nicely
