  1. Thanks guys! From your posts it sounds like my next to come toy will be a C then! Now I just need to save the cash.... aaaah fucking bloody cash...
  2. Wow, I wasn't expecting pure silence...
  3. Hello all! I was gonna buy a 12m/13m in order to get better powered when the wind is pretty weak, after a look at my bank account I realised it's a much better idea to wait and stick a little longer with what I got... Looking at the bright side of my not too bright economic situation, I got some extra time to consider other options that I didn't really value at first! The idea was to get an SLE, but doing some research online I seem to understand that modern C kites are not anymore like the old evil beasts that we had quite few years back and offer you a conspicuous amount of depower. All my depower experience comes from Twinskins (Synergy + Venom II) and then SLE (Best Bularoo + Starkites S-Bow ). I moved from the Twinskin to SLE mainly because I like the amount of depower they have to offer, I believe I progressed more in a year flying my Bularoo than in years with the dear old floating mattresses. -How do you reckon modern C kites do depowerwise, where do they sit compared to a Venom 2 and Bularoo? -Do they handle gusts as well as SLEs do? -Considering I do mainly landboarding is it better to stick to SLE? -And finally, I never damaged any of my SLE (touch wood) but I crash my kites from time to time and durability is one of the main reasons why I love my Bularoo, what do you think matches that kind of reinforced construction in the C kites world?
  4. Hopefully this weekend we'll get some breeze.
  5. Oh mate I would have loved to join to Les Hemmes, that beach must be a dream! Stuck with work though... Thanks for all the great help, in the end my girlfriend and I gave up and went to our local park (Woormwood Scrubs). We are planning to go to Camber whenever the low tide happens around 1pm and make the most of the day out, thanks again for all the advices!
  6. Thanks man, good idea asking the locals, I'll try to give a call to the local kitesurf school, they might tell me what's the situation.
  7. Also, any practical advice? Shall I bring cloths-change?
  8. Tomorrow I'm not working so I thought to jump on the train from london and go to Camber sands for the first time. I checked the tides and it looks like the lows are gonna be around 8:30am and 8:30pm... Luck... Considering that I can be there around 2pm (pretty much just after the high tide hits) will I be able to landboard a bit in your opinion? Keep in mind that if I get 2hrs (let's say from 4pm to 6pm) I would be really happy..
  9. Hi! I got an old Nemesis HP that I'd like to fly on my Switch kites bar. The bar is one of the new standard ones with fronts and backs all the same length. I tried to do my research but I couldn't find if the nemesis can fly on this setup, any other nemesis owner that can give me an answer?
  10. No mate it was active when I posted it, in fact it ended the day after... on the July the 14th
  11. Wow, that's a beauty! Also it's well known fact that green wheels go faster and higher:D
  12. Hello guys, I just saw this kite on the famous auction site, I'm not getting it because I prefer LEI now and I already got a V2 13, but I think someone here will definitely want to grab this one! I'm in no way connected to this seller, just thought to let you know! peter lynn venom | eBay
  13. Hey there, I was considering to go for a little trip and experience for the first time some decent clean wind on the coast. I heard a lot of good things of Camber Sands for landboarding, but I was now wondering if there is any easier to reach location. One thing I should probably have made clear from the beginning is that I can rely solely on trains and busses, yeah no car for me.....
  14. Synergy 8m, still gotta get used to it tho
  15. They state it gets you going from 3-4knots, I'm pretty sure I fart stronger than that... 'Unbelievable low-end performance No other depower kite will get you going as early as the PEAK. At 3 to 4 knots the PEAK is ready to go on snow or land and handles well.'
  16. they say around £700 still pricey considering they need a lot less material to make one
  17. depower and low wind are the main reasons. I like twinskins, I've been using them for the past 7 years, but since I started using a SLE on land, I can't deny that the venom is getting less and less air...
  18. I noticed too there wasn't much jumping going on on that video, I think it might be the kite design, if it was a jumping machine they wouldn't have hesitated a second showing us how much air you could get... Even if it isn't lifty I'm still interested in this design, it sounds extremely efficient. I totally agree on waiting for reviews, that's why I started this post in first place, to hear from the community.
  19. If it really delivers what it says on the tin I can see myself saving up for one of these PEAK | Flysurfer Kiteboarding Have anybody had the chance to test it yet?

  21. Thanks a lot to everyone! I was hoping that tieing a knot on the steering bridles would have been enough to make the kite flyable. You understand me... it's the new toy... I really wanted to try it tomorrow! but I will wait patiently till I get some spectra and do everything as it is supposed to be done
  22. Yeah carl that's what I meant, looking for some spectra right now
