Whats the screw thingy..lol..?? I bought a wipika spreader from ebay...you can see one end is open, fits the harness perfect..but the other end looks like a buckle and the hook on the harness will not fit in. I presume its the wrong spreader as the dakine spreaders have open ends either side and no buckle looking thing..??

hiya..possibly another 'dumb' question. got myself a Dakine Fusion harness..i gather these are more tailored for use in the water, but it was cheap, cheap so it'll do for now. Anyways bought me a spreader bar for it an one end doesnt fit on..is there an extra bit for one end, as it looks like a buckle for a strap or something..?? Sorry for the numbness..but i am absorbing all this info..will stop pesting eventually.. Cheers, Nik.

i think i get what it is now, and to be fair the idea had actually crossed my without even knowing it. I think the best thing would be to educate people as to why its dangerous..

well yea..why..?? I've never heard of it before..intrigued now. I'm sure most people have enough common sense to see if something is stoopid..or 'really' stoopid..lol..an wont just have a go for the sake of it :s

Yea i had a good one last week..overpowered on launch with a 2.5 Bullet :o Had it on new 40M lines which might not have been the best plan *hindsight* Anyways, launched from the edge of the window..it kicked straight across the centre sending me from 0-20mph+ in about 0.5s. I took 4 hoooge steps about 12ft apart before a face plant onto the beach then managed to cover around 60ft of beach on my back & front before i thought it might be a good idea to let go. Anyways, pride slighty dented, trousers round my knees an a ring full of sand..i got it together Thought id dis-located my shoulder, but that turned out to be OK, just a bit achey..killer dose of whiplash all week tho..ouch I am a nooob BTW, and the lines were unequal which all adds up..but, it goes down in the 'lessons learned' chapter.

yea, did have a read..good stuff im gonna get down the beach pretty sharpish this weekend got early aft' tides. Inspired to have a shot on my board from watching all the guys in Cardiff last weekend.. conditions permiting of course..

sounds like you all had a good weekend..regardless of casualties I was down in Cardiff...checked out the 'FrozenJam' Sat, was a bit naff dim wind, Sun turned out to be a good day tho, great beach too (Rest Bay, Porth Cawl). Only took the baby Bullet down (managed to hold onto it this time too..hahaha), had a good play tho, got my confidence back..lol..and saw loads of kites in the flesh, which was nice, better than looking at pictures..and the occasional bit of showing off. Good day in all.

Of course.. hahaha.. yea i spent all afternoon messing with lines...chopped em down & got em all equal..i hope. Will double check when i can stake them out proper. just to add..ive got a mild case of whiplash this morning.

jus wonderin if any of you knowledgeable geezers could run through the kite line up for me whats what, pro's & cons, an what there best used for. At the mo, i dont know the differnce between lei, arc, bow.. Foil LEI Arc Bow are there more? ..lol

Hi all.. thought id introduce myself, been sniffing round the Forum for a couple of weeks...Only just got into kiting @ the beginning of this yr, bought myself a baby bullet for xmas, then a board, 4.9 BII, jus got me a bar & harness too. Im living in L'dudno..only been on west shore upto now. Not met anyone in the flesh, but ive had a good natter to Si an swapped a few PM's with Paul (easy geezers ). Hmmm..bout it really, dyng to try the blade out in a decent wind & might actually step foot on my board one wkend soon..lol Cheers, Nik.

can you explain re-direct in nooob terms, i know obviously it means re-direct the kite..but where with respect to the wind & wind window. Or is it just somat you suss out from flying..would love to try, but conditions have been absolutely ****e the past 2 weeks..this weekend aint lookin much better either..
