  6. rust will only occur if you let it. If its looked after there is no reason for it to rust.
  7. Hello, my mate had a mindless board as his first board bout 3 months ago, very stiff and rigid not much flex in it but i guess that is down to personal taste. He has just started to jump with it pulling 8ft airs, 360's, backscratchers; its started to crack around the trucks under the pressure of landing, he's not a heavy lad to say the least in fact he is well skinny. ...it has however enabled him to progress to where he is now, which ain't too bad. and hasn't let him down whilst learning and gaining tha basic concepts of boarding. I guess its like everything, you will always what better, better boards, bigger kites and so on. I had a silver reef at the same time, me and my mate have progressed together doing the same tricks and the srub is still going strong, nice deck strong trucks. although i now want a shorter freestyle board to trick on like an flexi airdeck. hope this helps
  8. ouch....nice sound effects, bit like me early today got dumped from what felt like 20 ft in the air... (nasty as i rub my ankle!)
  9. i'd just like to say my G2 15m scares the F*&$ out of me when the wind gets going, its great. my mate flys a P15 we thought they would be about the same bar its own flying charateristics, but how we were wrong! and bearing in mind he is 3-4 stone heavier than me i'm relativley new to Peter lynn depowerables. But then again H (you know who you are) is another 3-4 stone lighter than me and flies the same!!!
  10. just bought a G2 15m woo hoo what a kite, my first depowerable!! also flown 15m phantom also very good not alot in it, although first impressions tell me my g2 has more grunt! time will tell.
  11. go for it mate i'v been doing for a 6 weeks and now poping 180 tweaked jumps. and few big airs. i love it!! Just go for it, what ever you feel confident doing, then keep pushing yourself further and further.........
  12. yeah just what i was thinking, thanks for input.
  13. you also need enough rotation so you make it all the way round or 180. so you need enough air, nothing worse than landing a 360 and not making it all the way. ooohh twisted ankles doing that
  14. ok dude i can rotate but not sure how well i can explain it..... but here goes. as you jump kick off with your back foot to give you rotation... this kind of sets you in a slow control'd spin. the key is keeping the kite stable as you rotate, the rotation is the easy part. keep your bar thus kite level ish as possible. guess i;'m still learning myself tho.
  15. yes thats correct... but you could surely use the brake lines to kill the kite. Let the power lines do all the work.... = a more efficient way of turning.
  16. so everybody's is gonna tell me to hold on tight i suppose......and hang on!?
  17. I have 7.8 blade II and a mate has a 10.5 blade III both on two lines with a crossover kit was wondering if anybody has converted this to 4 lines on handles.......... The cross-over kit as you guys will know works very well and really helps the larger blades turn. WHY?? I find that although the bar is very good on the board there is that slight lack of control reversing the kite, and theres that slight lack of saftey in killing the kite. In a nutshell i wanna take this kite out in higher winds:D on my board, but with the saftey, or at least some. SO... Has anybody try'd this?
  18. GaRRy do you have the name of the campsite at Gower so i can check it out? or anybody else who knows it.
