Tony Blair started jogging near his home in Chequers. Every day, he'd jog past a hooker standing on the same street corner. He learned to brace himself as he approached her for what was almost certain to follow. "Fifty pounds!" she'd shout from the curb. "No! Five pounds!" Tony would fire back. This ritual between Tony and the hooker became a daily occurrence. He'd run by and she'd yell, "Fifty pounds!" He'd yell back, "Five pounds!" One day, Cherie decided that she wanted to accompany her husband on his jog. As the jogging couple neared the working woman's street corner, Tony realized she'd bark her £50 offer and Cherie would wonder what he'd really been doing…

And lo, on his day of vengeance the Lord sent forth into the world a beast of such hideousness as to blacken the skies and put fear in the hearts of men. And as It took it's first steps into the world, the womb whence It came was cursed by all for bearing such a vile creature, and vengeance was sworn upon those who nurtured and raised It. The Lord saw this, and He thought it good. His beast was small of ear and sharp of tongue, and his name was The Geoff.

OK, given that the place is quiet at the moment and the whole interweb thing is weird, let's try a little experiment. This thread will last one hour from when I post it, then it gets deleted. Say what you want, ideally use a few interesting phrases that don't show up on Google, and let's see just how temporary internet comments are. Will my mention of tribulant nematotic flanges survive and be logged, inserted into the history of the internet forever? Or can we still say something online and remain ephemeral? Basically, if we only talk for an hour, does it still get publicly tracked and recorded? (PS: No, this isn't an excuse to break the normal forum ru…

So here we go kids. We had a thread that was up for an hour, chatted randomly, used a few choice phrases that should have been visible on Google and then deleted it. The thread shouldn't have been available for anyone to see after the hour, including Google, after it was deleted (except maybe the mods - KC keeps a copy of everything ever posted, as do most websites, mostly for legal defence reasons). In that hour Google has picked some of it up, but not all of it. The first page is visible, and you can find it using phrases from the first two posts. So far, at least... "contain the truly bizzarre search string you are after for no good reason" >>>link…

1 mile run... 1 2 3

Never used to be any good at runnung. 100m used to kill me in sports day. I do alot of cycling, but I didn't think it would help my running. I recently started running, because I'm wanting to join the Marines at the end of my A levels, but what is a decent time for 1 mile? The first run I did (for about 2 years) was on Saturday and it was 5:36. I've been out everyday since and have got it down to 5:13 mins. Is this a good time? Ross.
