jabroni Posted August 8, 2009 Report Posted August 8, 2009 Here's some pix from today. Forgot to clear my SD card, so no video I had a great time on the synergy 10 - so much power, and so much better being a depower. I can't wait to fly it at skirmish... Simon & his blade Daryl ? and his radsail 10m SImon & Gin Riotflyer having a go on the buggy Sorry, not sure of the name, but Access 10: Was good to meet up again, and meet some other kite obsessed brisbaneites! jabroni Posted August 8, 2009 Report Posted August 8, 2009 Looks like I got a bit of recording in before it filled up. Here's me with the synergy: Quote

trippnu Posted August 10, 2009 Report Posted August 10, 2009 did my first run in the buggy today was about 10 knots if u were lucky got about 5 runs or so each way up the park in the hour or so i was there with the blade 6.5 it was fuggin awsome so much easier than the landboard Simon Quote
jabroni Posted August 10, 2009 Report Posted August 10, 2009 Another one converted to buggying! Just remember to keep that blade down, or wear a lap belt... and of course, if you haven't yet - invest in a helmet. Next thing you know, you'll have one eye on a gps, trying to push it faster and faster each time. Quote
Mutty09 Posted August 11, 2009 Author Report Posted August 11, 2009 Wind forecast for 10 to 13 knots from the North. Me and Simon going planning on going. I will be there from about 10.00 am Simon to confirm Anyone else interested? I intend to stay as long as the wind is blowing, and it better chuffin' blown. Quote
jabroni Posted August 11, 2009 Report Posted August 11, 2009 I'll be there. Might try to start early, as there are possible late afternoon thunderstorms. Quote

westfire Posted August 12, 2009 Report Posted August 12, 2009 Did anyone get out to Murrarie today? What was the wind like etc? I spent the day up at The Noosa river mouth, blowing a solid NE interesting spot to kitesurf. Quote

Or are you just referring to lots of time in the buggy, by the way which is allways good to here. Quote
jabroni Posted August 12, 2009 Report Posted August 12, 2009 Here's the video: Was a good day of de-power practice. I'm still a little messy - I think I clipped all of Mutty's kites at least once... Quote

icarium Posted August 13, 2009 Report Posted August 13, 2009 After having a go of jabroni's buggy, I think i'll have to get one. Quote
Mutty09 Posted August 14, 2009 Author Report Posted August 14, 2009 All, Good to get a number of us out there and good wind, Murarrie has redeemed itself and I slag it off, too much anymore. I can see the advantage of the depowers now as I had to change kites 3 times to deal with the increasing wind. My GPS clocked more that 10 Km in distance and and over 40 km/h for speed on the 4.9 Blade its a ball buster but oooooooooooooh so much fun. It did lift me about 6 foot off the floor at at point Quote "it's not that gusty" My elbox hurts like chuff though were the 3.5 bullet pulled me out. But thats what its all about. A great day was had by all I can confidently say and here's to the next one. Ride on brothers (or do you pilot a buggy?) in which case just keep flying. PS: think we nedd to do a weekeknder so we can share stories, beer and do silly things in a drunken stuper!!!!!!!!!!!! Quote
trippnu Posted August 14, 2009 Report Posted August 14, 2009 heard about ur OBE(u casualty of Marurrie) spewin i missed it lol hope ur ok Simon also good to hear u enjoyed the park Mutty Quote
jabroni Posted August 14, 2009 Report Posted August 14, 2009 Here's 20 minutes of previously unseen footage: Can you name all 5 games? Quote
jabroni Posted August 15, 2009 Report Posted August 15, 2009 I might pop around to Murarrie after lunch tomorrow, see if the wind is any good. Looks like it's going to be another northerly. Any one else keen? Quote
JKS Posted August 15, 2009 Report Posted August 15, 2009 I'm keen .... what time you going to get there Quote
jabroni Posted August 15, 2009 Report Posted August 15, 2009 Probably around 1:00, windfinder says it's going to pick up later in the afternoon. Might be the old roll the kites out and wait for wind. Quote

riotflyer Posted August 15, 2009 Report Posted August 15, 2009 I hope you all have a great day I will be out again once the visiting relatives have gone back to the uk. Quote
jabroni Posted August 16, 2009 Report Posted August 16, 2009 Was a good day out - not a cloud in the sky. Slapped on some sunscreen, put up the synergy, and did about 16km. Most of the usual crowd made it out, plus Ryan I think it was from NZ - flying a 3.5 Blurr - nice kite that one To start off, it was just Simon and I. Right at the end of this clip I had my first inversion during flight - I should have pointed it up, stall landed, then rolled. Ah well. Then Daryl and I were doing laps following eachother: And Icarium had a go on the buggy: Quote
