Well after a long time trying, I made the 50mph today ( 50.3mph ).

I got down Pembrey at around 11.30, the wind was 25-31mph SSW so i put up the Access 6m and off i went. Half way down the beach i saw Andy Parr and that was it, just the two of us.

First run i hit 44.9mph which would have been a PB for me.

Second run i hit 48.6mph.

Third run 50.3mph HAPPY DAYS.....

Today has to be one of the best days i have ever had in my life.......

WHAT A FEELING.

New PB, managed to notch it up a little to 26.9 mph :-], with the favourite 2.5 blurr and little flex bug...

Well done FluffyWOO.

I can't believe that you buggied just under 11 minutes yesterday. Did you forget to switch your GPS on? Your run that went way up past the camel farm took at least 10 minutes & then you still needed to get back. Additionally, you did a lot of buggying on the sabkha near the ghaf tree.

I note you have set your GPS on speed rather than distance covered.

Are you able to read your speed as you move along? If yes, then you have remarkable eyesight at speed when the rough floor is trying to shake any fillings you might have out of your teeth.

For those of you reading this who don't know fluffyWOO, she is determined to continually improve her personal best in her short axled Flexi bug.

I offered her to ride my Death buggy, which is 10 times more stable than her Flexi bug but no, she is determined to crack her PB's with her own buggy.

I don't see anything unethical in borrowing another person's buggy to get a personal best.

If we'd had a decent wind during my day at Maplethorpe a few weeks back, I wouldn't have thought twice about trying to improve on my PB using PTW's dominator.

Incidentally, my top speed yesterday when FW managed her new PB fell way short of my PB was 60.4 kph (37.5 mph) using a 4.9 Blade IV. I'm sure FW could have easily managed 30mph in my buggy using a 3.5 Blurr.

Hi Sand Yeti

Yeah i think i must of reset the distance setting somewhere in between. To be fair i didnt realise and when i last looked at the time when we were buggying it was around over an hour and a half. But yeah that would have been a remarkable achivement :p. We had a super day yesterday and given the temperature dropping, im finding buggying a little more comfortable. I wish we had taken photos as we had some amazing scenes that would have looked nice for our photo albums :). I may just try the DB one day and do an Andy from little britain when you are not looking:D

Out of interest, whats the fastest people have gone on a flexi bug?

I have heard about 50+mph....

Kin'ell

Shame as myself and Tiny01 only have the width of 2 football pitches in order to reach out top speed. This so far is low/mid 20's before rapidly running out of room and having to 180 back on ourselves :(

We need a nice big stretch :(

Its a great start Tiny01 well done

Well thanks mate , It's a start ,Hopefully i will be updating this as i get a little faster , Though as Flat_out stated a larger field will help also :D
