Nemesis Posted May 20, 2008 Report Posted May 20, 2008 Hi Folks Not sure if you've heard through the Grape Vine, I've just found out off Adam at Turbulence, that Lukas was admitted to the Countess of Chester Hospital this morning with a collapsed lung . He's now got a chest drain in situe and will be a patient there for a few days. At the moment he's on ward 54. COCH telephone number is 01244 365000. I'm going to visit him first thing in the morning (I still do on call for COCH) and will post an update when I get to my hospital in Ellesmere Port. BNJ Quote

Nemesis Posted May 21, 2008 Report Posted May 21, 2008 Mornin all Just been to see the man, he's in good spirits, has had a disturbed night due in part to a gorgeous old biddy in the bed oposite him she looks like a Bulldog chewing a wasp . His right lung has had a total collapse but after the chest drain insertion it's inflated to 80%. Another Chest x-ray is booked this morning to monitor progress. On the pain front, there is some discomfort but in true Turbulence fashion he is gritting his teeth ;grinning and bearing it without the use of pain killers.Well Hard, tuff cookie etc. I printed out all your best wishes etc and passed them onto him this morning, to say he was touched would be an understatement, and has asked me to pass on his thanks to you all. There's no discharge date as yet, fingers crossed it will be early next week. cheers BNJ Quote
Carver Posted May 21, 2008 Report Posted May 21, 2008 wow that sounds bad, wishing lukas a speedy recovery Quote
Nemesis Posted May 21, 2008 Report Posted May 21, 2008 best wishes to him. > Good thought but Pilchards would probably act as an Air Freshener compared to the wasp chewing Bulldog, and the guy next to him who assumed his bed was a comode and dumped in it during the night, leaving a curtain as Lukas's only protection against a new form of gas attack, it nearly deflated his good lung despite the weeks of high altitude flatulence training in Norway (nurses don't get enough recognition for tidying up after folk like that ) BNJ Quote
loftyrob Posted May 21, 2008 Report Posted May 21, 2008 Oh my god the lazy git will do anythin to get out of a days work :p Bernie hope your not about when he gets his discharge date could be messy if your there take plenty of tissues dude man size wish him all the best dude and any luck with the pilchards ? if you can get him laughin and video it that would be good for a giggle :D p.s. anybody know how the dog is bareing up all the best luv from suffolk xx;) Quote
