.Joel Posted March 26, 2009 Report Posted March 26, 2009 Well, rumors are floating Ozone is working on a C-Kite, Steve may have to start recommending "death machines" again Can't tell enough from the photos at the moment, or if it is a C-Kite. They're definitely proto-types will all the settings on the wing tips. News of a soon to come 17m Edge RX floating about as well Regards, .Joel Quote
koma Posted March 26, 2009 Report Posted March 26, 2009 Looks rather early in development. What's that line that sitting on the ground in front of the smaller one. Multi-attachment points for the front line? Quote
.Joel Posted March 26, 2009 Author Report Posted March 26, 2009 Looks like bridle, perhaps they're not C's after all? BRING ON THE DEATH MACHINES! Regards, .Joel Quote
Steve Posted March 26, 2009 Report Posted March 26, 2009 Death machines were before your time Joel. I've still got a couple, like a naish AR3.5 2 line c kite death machine. What made them death machines was the lack of depowering, the wrist cuff only tended to cause the kite to spin especially if there were several twists in the lines before you managed to unhook. Yep unhook, there were no fancy safety release chicken loops, you latecommers are spoiled!!! I can arrange for you to have a go on a death machine? Cya and Goodwinds McDeath PS - Keep guessing! Quote
sinbad Posted March 26, 2009 Report Posted March 26, 2009 There just a testing a new color scheme to match the mud that's all black leading edge. Quote
Luke Posted March 26, 2009 Report Posted March 26, 2009 I can arrange for you to have a go on a death machine? I remember buying a death machine once. Steve remember that 6m Wipika 2 line inflato I bought when I was getting into kite surfing musta been 2000 / 2001. similar to this The thing at the time was impossible to land by yourself ha ha ha, I had many interesting moments on the beach with that thing. Ah, the good ole days, when kites were like going to a Qantas terminal to pick somebody up. Quote
.Joel Posted March 26, 2009 Author Report Posted March 26, 2009 Death machines were before your time Joel. I've still got a couple, like a naish AR3.5 2 line c kite death machine. And here I was thinking my '04 Storm III was the last death machine Flexi made.... it scares the shit out of me when the wind picks up and I love every minute of it I can arrange for you to have a go on a death machine? That almost sounds threatening.... Sure what have you got on offer? Quote

Steve Posted March 27, 2009 Report Posted March 27, 2009 You've seen Burn After Reading? Top movie, loved it!! @Joel, the Storm 3 is tame compared to auto luffing, no depower earlier C kites with no chicken loop release and wrist cuff safety systems, especially the 2 liners like Luke mentions!! schmik Posted March 28, 2009 Report Posted March 28, 2009 Nice.... death machine! Probably before my time too. I'd love to have a go on one. I think the oldest thing i have flown was a PL Peel. Seriously... it was 8m(ish) and had the bottom end of a 19m FS SA. The blade 2 4.9 was scary above 20kn (and i was VERY heavy back then). Now, a 12m is the norm for 2okn. WTF? Ok they turn faster and have depower............ but power per sq meter they DO NOT HAVE. mike Quote
Spartan Posted June 3, 2011 Report Posted June 3, 2011 Well I was out at Kitepower just chating with the boys out the back and the email came through from Ozone that the 17m Edge is ready and waiting for orders. This would have to be a ripper of a kite. Spartan Quote
JKS Posted June 3, 2011 Report Posted June 3, 2011 I just wanted to see what it looked like when you quoted someone quoting themselves .... I'll get my coat Quote
Spartan Posted June 3, 2011 Report Posted June 3, 2011 I was trying to correct a spelling mistake and I pushed quote instead of edit Good to see you're on the ball Marty.. Quote
