kiteingcolin Posted July 20, 2007 Report Posted July 20, 2007 who have you sorted yours with? and have you checked it states kitesurfing is covered, E Sure said they would cover me for kitesurfing but to state windsurfing on the form, £67 for 2 weeks for 2 persons (dodgy) mark warner will cover us all risks inc kitesufing for £110, 2 weeks what happened to the cheap cost of insurance? i am sure a few years ago a full year cost only £60 each:confused: Quote
spooky Posted July 20, 2007 Report Posted July 20, 2007 Anything which they percive to be an "extreme sport" boosts the premium Even though we know it does not effect the actual risks? They pay out more for people getting p!ssed and falling down in car parks than they ever would for us Jon Quote
Charlie C Posted July 20, 2007 Report Posted July 20, 2007 try this company i used them for a ski holiday and had an accident out there and they made everything really easy for me. Great to have good companies like this. They do a ktiesurfing specific insurance i think: http://www.snowcard.co.uk/pages/d_select2.asp?f=4&triptype=1&activityid=2&mainactivity=28&coverid=1&geogflag=1&duration=8%20days&dateout=20%20July%202007&datein=28%20July%202007&dateout_db=20/7/2007&datein_db=28/7/2007&numPeopt=Single&numpeop=1&specialise=water&hold=#bottom Quote

JohnDave Posted July 21, 2007 Report Posted July 21, 2007 Halifax last year did not class kitesurfing as an extreme sport so did not require any extra premium. Cost about £100 for 2 people for the whole year. Quote
npeac Posted July 21, 2007 Report Posted July 21, 2007 and if you have certain accounts with halifax you get free insurance, breakdown cover etc. Quote
maxlevens Posted July 22, 2007 Report Posted July 22, 2007 dogtag are really good - they catagorıse lots of extreme sports - kıtesurfıng ıs ın catagory 2 - not too expensıve eıther as you can select to ınsure just you (medıcally) and stuff you take along, wıthout cancellatıon ınsurance. ı dıdnt need thıs as ı was on budget aırlıne and had nothıng booked where ı was goıng, so ı was happy to take thıs for the sake of lowerıng costs... thınk ı payed 39 or so for 2 1\2 weeks of kıtesurfıng Quote
