kiteingcolin Posted May 18, 2007 Report Posted May 18, 2007 whitstable windsurfing. always fantastic service and good price, easy to order from web or phone up mark for a chat if you need any info or help. colin must have been kidnapped by aliens as not seen him here for a while but am sure he willl chime in as well. mark at whitstable must be in the top 3 in the uk, and now he is a best dealer,(as from last week) ooooooooooo! i can't tell you the lengths he has gone to help me out with my requests, bits and bobs worth nothing in value but so inportant to me at the time, its the speed of service that get my vote, phone before 3pm and its with me by 10am the next day, and he will part ex kites/ boards which is a big big plus for whitstable, in fact i believe he is one of very few dealers who will without fuss, adam at turbulance is made from the same mold, but part ex is not his favourite game, now then as the the $hite dealers they are----- got to go kettle's boiling:rolleyes: Quote
npeac Posted May 18, 2007 Report Posted May 18, 2007 forgot to mention Tommy at session1 he has been very good and quick service as well. Quote

faster4_tec Posted May 18, 2007 Report Posted May 18, 2007 airotheropy whitburn sunderland/south shields - Martin is a legend in there, great solid advise, and stocks most things and parts, and will go out of his way to rush an order thru in time for the weekend And he does taster sessions and learning seshs for beginners where nessacery. Surfstore somewhere near billingham, co durham - i've found them to be very good, esp the seam stitching lady:cool:, but maybe a bit cold on the old sales pitch front. However a mate was sold a 20m LEI new as he was a total beginer (like never held a kite before type beginner) at massive cost with a token discount for the bag been ripped:mad: Even now we're both more experianced the 20m is a biatch to setup, use, fly, safey put down just ridiculous. wenglish Posted May 19, 2007 Report Posted May 19, 2007 though i do ride for them now, TAL is a shop i carnt find a fault with, nath always has time for a chat and the delivery is nice and quick. Quote

Rush: marc is also a great guy hes the one who first got me into kitesurfing and is also willing to give you demo on brand new products and give you the low down on where everyone is heading Quote
Crob203 Posted May 19, 2007 Report Posted May 19, 2007 Cant fault airboss either, Gary and Elly always on hand to lend solid advice and quite happily will demo a range of kites to someone to ensure they get the right one. Also have been working 9am-9pm for over a month now without a day off to provide the local kiters with an awesome inland venue! Quote
cuckfield flyer Posted May 19, 2007 Report Posted May 19, 2007 powerkiteshop, always had fantastic service from them session 1, also top service and quick delivery http://www.kiteitright.co.uk , toms a top guy and realy helpfull Quote
-Olly- Posted May 19, 2007 Report Posted May 19, 2007 the best place i have found is carl at http://www.trick-of-the-eye-kites.com although the service isn't the fast in the world, they are always quite a bit cheaper than anywhere else as you dont have to pay VAT - he lives in the channel islands (not sure which one) Quote
mick Posted May 19, 2007 Report Posted May 19, 2007 Up until a month ago I would have said PKS BUT I needed some ATB bearings. PKS suggested I try Extreme Kite shop. I needed some seat buckles for a PL they sold me. They said we don't do the spares, go somewhere else for them. I did, I got em elsewhere. i won't be rushing to phone there again I'm afraid. I have a lot of respect for John and the lads and I know they can't stock everything. Whinge over. Sam at that Hensing thing shop on the South coast seems like a nice boy. Quote
Zotty Posted May 19, 2007 Report Posted May 19, 2007 5 years of powerkiteshop service and not a problem anywhere to be seen.. top shop with top guys giving top advice and aftersales Quote
mick Posted May 19, 2007 Report Posted May 19, 2007 Blimey, 5 years ago they opened. Time flys don't it. Like I said, the man got me into this dreadful money swallowing pastime when he was at Windsurf Worcester. Quote
Gizmo Posted May 19, 2007 Report Posted May 19, 2007 I wonder why no-one has mentioned good old Argos....... Never bought a kite from them but I returned a kettle to them once which was not working and they exchanged it no problem, no questions, just make sure you keep the receipt and its all good. Quote
paseawright Posted May 19, 2007 Report Posted May 19, 2007 I seem to attract problems with kite shops However, Atmosphere have prob been the best I have dealt with, and Kites Up. Lets just say thankfully Coastguard Kites are out of business! -- Paul Quote
Sparhawk Posted May 19, 2007 Report Posted May 19, 2007 I wonder why no-one has mentioned good old Argos....... Happened to be in there today, needed some more bling for my neck and a few extra signet rings. (Good ole Elizabeth Duke eh? ) I flicked through to the kites page and it appears they have stopped doing 4 liners. Perhaps they didnt meet the targets? Got to be good for the real retailers eh?
