HOUSE Posted May 13, 2007 Report Posted May 13, 2007 What a wash out. I have spent the last 2 weeks digging footings for the new extention. Now I have got a moat, there must be 3 inches of water in there. May have to cancell the concrete lorry tomorrow. Good to hear you still had a good day though. That's tough Neil Did you hire a mini digger or have you been hand digging? Lousy job if you've dug them yourself but sometimes you just can't get the machine where you need it. Hope it soon clears so that you can get on. I'm scuppered with work now - have only got Sunday off in the next 11 days, but then 4 days over the bank holiday - (one 7-year old's birthday to celebrate in the family but hopefully some time to get to the beach!)
HOUSE Posted May 13, 2007 Report Posted May 13, 2007 Chris and Kells How's the recovery coming on now?

popeyethewelder Posted May 14, 2007 Author Report Posted May 14, 2007 Sounds like Cleggy was OK. I decided to go to Sandilands and went north to Mable and then one long run all the way down to Ingoldmells. Someone on here was asking if they were still piping sand ashore - the answer is yes - I would have had to get out and walk the buggy over the prom to get around it to Skeggy - however as I was drenched decided to head back and pack up! Really enjoyed it though - tide right in - ploughing through the pebbles and soft sand - topped at 24 and did about 12 moving average - 20plus miles all together. 10m Frenzy was in the sweet spot and flew like a dream even though it was soaked through. Had to be done:p Can't wait for next time........................ Nice story and run Simon, pity about the rain
Destructor06 Posted May 14, 2007 Report Posted May 14, 2007 clee yesterday not such a good day for me - for once wind felt as strong/weak as forecast so could have took the 6.6 or 10.5 - really working the rage to get barely any power and boarding right by the sea was limited to say the least. got tripped up coming onto soft sand so making good use of my shiatsu massager! Kite drying in less than 1m2 of spare space in room and board needs cleaning. Mable sounds like an interesting obstacle course! Still least Eurovision was good - for once France should have won - u can't beat pink costumes and a bald guy dancing around talking to a black cat sewn on his collar. or a ukranian drag act lol! - ein, zwei, drei!

HOUSE Posted May 14, 2007 Report Posted May 14, 2007 Kite drying in less than 1m2 of spare space in room and board needs cleaning. D Can sympathise there After buggying in the rain, I bundled the Frenzy up as fast as possible to keep the sand from sticking to it but haven't been able to get it out of the car boot to dry yet! Buggy has been sat on the drive having a heavenly rinse all day Hopefully tomorrow it will warm up again
windjammer1599968715 Posted May 14, 2007 Report Posted May 14, 2007 im jealous of house doing a long run to skeggy i want to to this sometime. i went to wales at weekend shell island for my birthday wicked camping right on beech did a 5 mile run in buggy with the 5.5 century.
misstrouble Posted May 15, 2007 Report Posted May 15, 2007 Well after a rather sleepness night due to worry, chris's hospital appointment went really well. he is now out of the cast and has been cleared for return to work. he still has to have physio and will be doing so for a while yet. he goes back again in 4 weeks to see the consultant and see how he is getting along. the bone growth in his arm is now there but hes got to be careful with rotating his arm and nothing too strenous for it just yet. so hes glad to be rid of the cast but still no kiting.

Hello Dan..Welcome to our thread, we are a friendly bunch, mainly made up of Lincs Kite Park users near Boston and Cleethorpe/Mablethorpe users and a mix of both, where abouts are you in Lincoln...are you going to Wallop, where do you fly around Lincoln or is it mainly the beach, if you use Mable then you have found the Jewel in our crown..... ps sorry for the 20 questions Carl

If the wind's off the sea, I'm likely to be somewhere on the beach!
