  1. Perhaps further down the beach - the main clay bank is still there. Actually should think it's the tides. There were some near the bank but not as much as there's been in the past. Still I'm not complaining. Hoping to start going more at weekend again like I used to.
  2. Hey, I went to Cleethorpes last Friday and perfect day for kiting. Had whole beach to myself and none of the dreaded lumps of clay there normally is. Tides were ok aswell for a change.
  3. Thanks rasga!
  4. i take it that's a yes? - that you've received the file?
  5. received?
  6. done thanks
  7. 3.6 mb I could try sending a few files at a time?
  8. This is an automatically generated Delivery Status Notification. Delivery to the following recipients failed. neil@kitecrowd.com
  9. submitting mine in a min hopefully neil@kitecrowd.com I take it you can receive images etc on you email account as it would take far too long for me to put all on photobucket etc and post on here.
  10. Hi, Can I just confirm - is it ok to just submit the designs as a JPEG (so people can view it online etc?) and if say 1 of them won, I would then have to submit the file as a .eps or photoshop file of the winning entry, as if the designs don't win I would like to use them for something else without giving the final file in e.g. eps/photoshop format out? Is that ok?
  11. a bit off topic from meets but anyway when you lot are preparing to go kiting (buggying) is therre any equipment you think 'i must take this'? e.g. as a landboarder i take my kite, board, wheel pump, stakes etc Thanks
  12. you'll be getting one
  13. Yeah, I have a few but will only email them just before the deadline - I have quite a few more I want to design but may not have the time to do them all. It will be right up to the deadline.
  14. It depends on the company they are planning on using - it will be more expensive - some companies charge by the line and others just charge a basic amount. I have my username, KGB and insurance number on the back of my tee and hoody which looks pretty cool. Then we could all have the generic design on the front. It wouldn't works with the design with text on the back as well though...
  15. maybe you should have white scientist type coats with the Kitecrowd logo on like a certain rasga monkey was wearing at wallop one year
  16. Funny you mention paint as I'm very good with it I presume a photoshop file would also be ok? I only mentioned .EPS as the admin said about using it so the image can be scaled okbut I presume since I have a file save in photoshop format that I could always save again to .eps format if needed?
  17. Hi, I notice in photoshop you can save files as .EPS but there are different types - you can save as just .eps or Photoshop DCS 1.0 or 2.0. In the normal .eps format, when saving it gives you options: Preview: TIFF 1 bit/pixel or 8 bits/pixel and Encoding: ASCII or ASCII85 or Binary or Jpeg - low, med, high, maximum quality and also has options to: include halftone screen, include transfer function, postscript colour management, include vector data (greyed out) or image interpolation. Is it ok just to save something from a photoshop file to .eps and which type would it need to be. Also do you need to have designed using layers etc? Thanks
  18. thanks for the compliment, but I don't work in design actually ;c) lol you perhaps should do
  19. @ admin - what is EPS style? and also what do you mean by metallic ink?
  20. wow someone clearly works in design. Nice!
  21. For those of us who are not so talented with photoshop can we just submit the design idea to you (i.e. picture, any text and colours)- not just the actual image that has to be used in the screen printing method e.g. a correct size or format such as using layers on photoshop? I have previously had my own design image put on a t-shirt and hoody using a website that shall remain nameless for the sake of the competition, whereby you have to actually sort the size and exact colours and format out yourself. I believe the method was screenprint but there was also something about foil? (flock print: offers superior quality due to its soft, fuzzy feel. The velvety material is durable, and the colours remain bright and bold, even after many washes. The printing process can be used for individual text and for designs without color transitions. A computer-controlled cutting plotter will cut texts and graphics out of a special foil.) as oppose to flex print which is normally used for text rather than images and also opposed to photo or digital printing which need to have backgrounds.
  22. how much yeah I would buy one too - gr8 design & v. clever! Thanks for the info admin!
  23. By screenprinted do you mean it can be a design that is not bound by a rectangular box i.e. a person which would be the case if you were using transfers. Also do you want us to suggest the actual t-shirt colour or just the actual design that could be printed on different coloured tees as certains colours i.e. a black subject would obviously not show up on a black tee. By 'The T-Shirt colour can be any 'normal' available colour' do you mean the design itself or just the tee colour? As someone previously asked we will need to know where the design has to be i.e. front, back, sleeve. Since the logo has to be included does this have to be a certain size or in a certain place? Will the person be credited with the design is placed in your online shop i.e. designed by...? Does the entry have to be a certain size? or just look ok when printed to a bit smaller than an A4 page? What happened to Flexifoil forums?
