martin Posted February 7, 2008 Report Posted February 7, 2008 Winds are looking rather light for the weekend now:(. If this afternoon is anything to go by i might have to get the boat wet:eek:.
avspider Posted February 7, 2008 Report Posted February 7, 2008 Depending on the shoulder/neck, i'll still be heading for LH
adz medic Posted February 8, 2008 Report Posted February 8, 2008 LH is as dry as a bone m8 should have no probs there going back to work today:(
martin Posted February 8, 2008 Report Posted February 8, 2008 I didn't think the wind was the right direction for WS this afternoon so i got my boat out. I'm paddling past WS & there was a kite surfer out + someone landboarding, all i could do was watch from the sea:mad:. Paddled to Netley park & back & now i ache.
TheGriff Posted February 8, 2008 Report Posted February 8, 2008 I wonder who was landbording on your patch Martin????????
TheGriff Posted February 8, 2008 Report Posted February 8, 2008 Was mate...... Had best session since late last year.... Lovely clean wind maybe 12ish.. not quite the right direction but good enough..... The frenzy is brilliant in that sort of wind...... First time i've flown there an was well impressed.... Bit scared of the bumps at first but soon got used to it an was a great workout for the legs...... Was you in that yellow kayak as i was leavin??????
martin Posted February 8, 2008 Report Posted February 8, 2008 Yeah that was me, i was looking trying to see who it was. Who was the kite surfer? If you had posted on here before going i would have joined you for a sesh.
g0nz01599968659 Posted February 8, 2008 Report Posted February 8, 2008 Damn it... stuck in work:rolleyes: Wind is looking wrong for WS at the w/e... If LH is as dry as everyone says it is we'll probably be up there for a bit of a light wind sesh Sat/Sun. Think there might be a couple of us going up the turfcutters on Saturday evening. Dan:)
TheGriff Posted February 8, 2008 Report Posted February 8, 2008 Was workin in Netly today ..... an finished at 1 Just went on the off chance really Nice spot you got there ........ Said hello to the kite surfer but not know him.. He was landboarding for a bit...... Was hopin you might be there...... maybe next time eh Roll on that summer.......
avspider Posted February 8, 2008 Report Posted February 8, 2008 Will be LH for me sat from lunchtime I hope, sorry not going to make the turfcutters sat, as S working till gone 8pm sat and starting 7.30am sun
martin Posted February 9, 2008 Report Posted February 9, 2008 Is LH any good? I had to do "family things" so all i got was a couple of hours at WS. Anyone out tomorrow am?
avspider Posted February 9, 2008 Report Posted February 9, 2008 I should be out tomorrow, LH is def NOT 100% dry, so if people are going to fly there, can we be aware of water logged area's. And please not make a mess of the grass
martin Posted February 9, 2008 Report Posted February 9, 2008 I might go elsewhere then, i'll watch the weather.
avspider Posted February 9, 2008 Report Posted February 9, 2008 If it's dry over night, then it'll be ok at LH.
UpInSmoke Posted February 9, 2008 Report Posted February 9, 2008 Just registered for A08! I should now check to make sure I've got the time off work! I'll try and get to LH tomorrow, not sure what time though, probably early afternoon.
avspider Posted February 9, 2008 Report Posted February 9, 2008 If there's wind, anybody up for a 7.45AM fly at LH??
avspider Posted February 10, 2008 Report Posted February 10, 2008 Well XC is WRONG and inaccurate, there is more than they say is currently there
martin Posted February 10, 2008 Report Posted February 10, 2008 Trust the trees! I'm going to Southsea Common, there was a couple of boarders there yesterday having a laugh in low winds.
martin Posted February 10, 2008 Report Posted February 10, 2008 There was deffo enough wind at SSC:D. Not the best direction but with a field that size it doesn't really matter. What a crackin weekend, reminds me of summer:D.
T595 Posted February 10, 2008 Report Posted February 10, 2008 Was at PS this lunchtime, the wind was easterly but the ground was fairly dry with only a couple of watery spots where the bench at the top is. The wind was constant and i had a brilliant time with my 7m, especially down looping it and being dragged off my feet . Even got the 4.5 out for a while. Had the whole field to myself apart from the most interesting dogs & their dumbass owners! Grr Grr kjhweuhsfkgawjgejhg!!!! And best part? I got a sun tan as well :D!
martin Posted February 10, 2008 Report Posted February 10, 2008 If i'd known you were going to PS i would have joined you. Doesn't any one post on here where/when they're going out anymore?????
