Got to swap some tyres, give it a clean up & make a belly pan & mudguard & i'll post some pics. Can't remove the seat rail padding covers to clean as they're stiched on. Is this normal? Ever used Autosol on SS? will it ruin the metal? I want it to sparkle:D

How did you find the new buggy?

I keep meaning to make a decent mudguard for my buggy

Buggy's real comfy, the front wheel was sliding out a couple of times (what is that, under steer?) so i might lengthen the down tube a bit. I also got some disc forks with the buggy so i might get them widened to take a wide tyre. The bindings i put on the footpegs soon got removed when i got lifted straight up out of the seat & couldn't get clear of the buggy:eek:. Travelling along with just your feet on the foot pegs isn't nice. The mudguard doesn't sit right over the wheel as the wheel is "off set" from the forks so it looks a bit odd from the side. How is this overcome? I've given up on a cycle rack to transport it at the moment as i have to remove the axle to get it in the shed anyway so i just put the seat down in the car & load it up. Bought some black canvas today to make side rail covers so they can be removed & shoved in the wash, the existing red ones are stitched on & just wont come off. Busy, busy, busy.

Don't lengthen the down tube, it will give you more understeer, with the offset wheel, i'd personally cut the spacers and adjust with washers?

It's not worth having discs round this area, only worth it on big beach's. It might be worth fitting some flat plates on the foot pegs, as they are alot more comfy. To stop being lifted, fly the kite lower, so your braced against the side rails more, I used to bury myself under the rails to stop coming out

So shortening the down tube will give less understeer? What do i do with the spacers/washers?

I'm hoping the lofting out of the seat was just due to the gusty day yesterday, it was only on the turns that it was happening

you can move the wheel to the centre?

If you lengthen it, it will be further away from you = less weight on it = more understeer.

Down turn more in the turns more

Can't move the wheel at all, it only has one setting. Having more weight on the front makes sense.

If the front wheel doesn't have a tube in it, fit one, it's a little extra weight:D

I have some lead blocks if you want them??

You should def come to one of the south wales races, MASSIVE beach and fly a tad overpowered:D

g0nz0 - you fancy coming to a freestyle comp??:D on a beach SOO hard it's like a motorway:D :D
