T595 Posted August 12, 2008 Report Posted August 12, 2008 Um, once i've seen it then i'll let you have it if it's not overly embarrassing to watch (again and again and again.....)
avspider Posted August 12, 2008 Report Posted August 12, 2008 hmmm, I could always contact Dai (i think) who has the clip hehehe. come on you have to admit, it's normally me catching g0nz0 with those clips

Its not so much that its overpowered (it does need a bit of trim pulling in admittedly) at 35knots (40+mph), just very scary to think what would happen if you got it a bit wrong:eek: lol I think I might get a 7m for those sorts of winds. All good fun & some big wind swell / tanker wash to carve up. Right Im off t pub:)
Big Daddy Posted August 12, 2008 Report Posted August 12, 2008 I made a video of Pembrey meet but T595 isn't in it. Was he there?
avspider Posted August 12, 2008 Report Posted August 12, 2008 I made a video of Pembrey meet but T595 isn't in it. Was he there? Yeah he was, look at the pic's!! But he did hurt his ankle on the sat early pm. Typical boarder landng badly lol. The video is really good mate, making me want to get a buggy cam set properly.
T595 Posted August 13, 2008 Report Posted August 13, 2008 Bloody typical! Loads of wind and i'm not able to fly.....
martin Posted August 13, 2008 Report Posted August 13, 2008 You don't want to be flying in this, unless you have a hanky to fly.
avspider Posted August 13, 2008 Report Posted August 13, 2008 g0nz0 will be fine!! i've also been known to fly in up 45mph wind - but it was pretty clean on a beach. which was my limit in a race buggy. as it gets a bit twitchy then, it's not the speed, it's the stopping - it's when you learn how to slow down and turn while keeping the kite very low - sometimes easier to stall the kite
g0nz01599968659 Posted August 13, 2008 Report Posted August 13, 2008 Yeah, same with kite surfin'. Keep the kite low shove the bar out & STOMP on the back foot! This moves the kite right to the edge of the window, controls the gust & drives ya up wind... you just need to mind the bigger bits of chop as you fly off the top of them:D If anyone finds a nice cheap 7m SLE anywhere let me know:)

avspider Posted August 16, 2008 Report Posted August 16, 2008 Only just seen you've gone flying, hope it was good
martin Posted August 16, 2008 Report Posted August 16, 2008 I managed a couple of hours at WS this PM. I'm off next week & it looks a wash out:(.
T595 Posted August 16, 2008 Report Posted August 16, 2008 Hey guys Who's free at some point next week evenings (or weekend) to fly a couple of my kites so i can take a couple of pictures of them? Also need to test my new Blade 2 4.9 & sort out my Mac with me. The quack says no flying or boarding for another couple of weeks and i want to try to adhere to her instructions if the wind is strong (of course if it's gentle then i'll ignore them ) hence the help. Ta Me
martin Posted August 16, 2008 Report Posted August 16, 2008 I'll be out next week if it's dry. I still need to sort out that Firebee.
avspider Posted August 16, 2008 Report Posted August 16, 2008 Keep an eye on the forecasts, and if it's dry I'll see about popping toLH at about 6.30 ish - I'll chuck the lid and harness in the car
martin Posted August 16, 2008 Report Posted August 16, 2008 Why are you taking photos of them, you're not selling them are you?
