MattPlanet Posted September 18, 2006 Report Posted September 18, 2006 chainreaction is great!! also stiff? Stif with one F me ol squint. They're really good for the odd high end bits and bobs, also clothes. They used to do Orange Bikes IIRC, I dunno if they still do... http://www.stif.co.uk Quote
RB Posted September 18, 2006 Report Posted September 18, 2006 oooops.... also try this link, lots of links to shops on it Quote

DIGGY Posted September 18, 2006 Author Report Posted September 18, 2006 Cheers for the help Ya'll!!!! I seem to keep coming back to a Kona Shred as the one that floats my boat at the moment! But still open to suggestions. I like the Jump bike styling and don't really want a full suspension bike. Quote
tomdaniels Posted September 18, 2006 Report Posted September 18, 2006 If i were u i wouldn't go for a new kona, ur payinn for the make then. Older konas (below 04) are alot better, and also DMR bikes are good choices Quote
MattPlanet Posted September 18, 2006 Report Posted September 18, 2006 Depends if you want a bike for jumping, or just a jump style machine... Kona is good if you want a jump style machine, its got gears etc, and they are built to last so are quite heavy... If you want a jump bike, take a look at the DMR Transition - http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=10611 and the Mongoose Ritual - http://www.evanscycles.com/product.jsp?style=70343 Quote
KermitStu Posted September 18, 2006 Report Posted September 18, 2006 www.chainreactioncycles.com for bits As far as complete bikes go, it depends on the brands etc they are the best BUT remember alot of online store do no after sales service to your bike meaning you eill have to take it to a bike shop for a check up after a month as you will find the cables will be streached causing gears to slip this will be free if you buy the bike from a bike shop pluse you have no hassle with having to send the bike back if you want to claim of the warrenty ( if you get one) Quote
DIGGY Posted September 18, 2006 Author Report Posted September 18, 2006 Its definately the style rather than the jumping ability. I'm 34 FFS!!!!!!!! PMSL That comment covers my buggying too!!!! Quote
KermitStu Posted September 18, 2006 Report Posted September 18, 2006 knona are good and pezialized do some nice ones i have the P2 but also check out the giant bikes i work in a bike shop so have seen what bikes are comming out for the winter period and trust me they are very nice and affordable you have dirt jumper 3 on them and all good gearing pluse you know its a giant so the frame will be ammazing Quote
