Newbie One Posted September 28, 2005 Report Posted September 28, 2005 I'm sat in the conservatory listening to it still and I reckon you'd need oilskins and wellies to be out in it 2nite . Wots the forecast 4 2moro????
evo1422 Posted September 28, 2005 Report Posted September 28, 2005 Hi guys new to all this big kite stuff but having fun up the lickeys with my very small 3.5 pepper, got a board today, went up lickeys and got some good jumps in so dodn't go on the board, a bit to much wind for first time.
Newbie One Posted September 28, 2005 Report Posted September 28, 2005 Hey not bad 2nite with 3 new contacts. Welcome to the Licky Flyers thread Riff, Becca_578 and evo1422. Riff Posted September 28, 2005 Report Posted September 28, 2005 Hey not bad 2nite with 3 new contacts. Welcome to the Licky Flyers thread Riff, Becca_578 and evo1422. Its gonna start getting very crowded up there with the amount of flyers that r goin up there lately . Know of any other local areas worth tryin out???? I've only been flying for 6 weeks or so. The only place I've tried so far is Clent, which seems pretty empty (and has a nice, tho slightly expensive, pub at the bottom) Seems good tho Thanks for the welcome
evo1422 Posted September 28, 2005 Report Posted September 28, 2005 no not really, had a drive about today trying to find some less wind ( i know not the done thing) so i could try the new board, have been looking on the worcester thread for some new places, they not to far away have to give them a go.
Kilgore Posted September 28, 2005 Report Posted September 28, 2005 welcome one and all neewbs well what can i say about tonight!!! its still hammering it down! went over to hydro to drop the pics off wasnt so wet there but justin was just locking up and going home so no flyin tonight!! madge did u actually go up? think we are gonna need LEI's like becca's new one....hmmmmm! rainy night flying lol whilst wrinting this pete just texted so say should of come out flyin in the rain and mud!
Newbie One Posted September 28, 2005 Report Posted September 28, 2005 I think there's gonna have to b a recky to find some other areas. @Pid reckons Daisy Farm Park might b ok. It is flat, quite large but it needs further looking at. Billsley Common is another site but we beleive there are fliers/buggiers/boarders already there plus it is now probably full of rugby posts aswell. Clent is ok but can get very crowded, as in with people as does the Lickys, and I don't hink there is quite as much room. I haven't flown there for a year or two. The stackers went well up there and I didn't have the 4 liners then either. The best places are at the coast :) or old runway strips.
Newbie One Posted September 28, 2005 Report Posted September 28, 2005 Hi Dave, Is he off his trolley or wot??? gotta agree its been a pretty crap night. The worst of it was that about 10:00 this morning I was gazing out of the window whilst at work at a clear blue sky thinking whether or not to do a bunk and go flyin. I know what I should have done !!!
Newbie One Posted September 28, 2005 Report Posted September 28, 2005 Where's daisy park farm? Its a local park more over towards the Maypole / Shirley area. Approx 6 -7 miles past the Lickeys.
