Kilgore Posted September 28, 2005 Report Posted September 28, 2005 I was talkin to the guy that flys the big gecko that was up the other night and he said there was a great flying spot down the M40 just past warwick, the gaydon junction i believe. Maybe not a night time spot but worth a look for the weekends??? anyone know anymore about that area.........?
Kilgore Posted September 28, 2005 Report Posted September 28, 2005 If im thinkin about the same place Daisy Farm Park is where pete broke his collar bone?? or something like that, never flown there but he said that the wind is awfull. Another thought is bilsley common. dont know where you guys are coming from but its meant to be quite good there?
evo1422 Posted September 28, 2005 Report Posted September 28, 2005 I will see if i can have a look at the site down by gaydon tomorrow, got a meeting down that way and i always take the kite with me.
Newbie One Posted September 28, 2005 Report Posted September 28, 2005 Another thought is bilsley common. dont know where you guys are coming from but its meant to be quite good there? Sariah was over at Cofton whilst we were at the Lickeys on Sunday and she saw a couple of guys on buggys. After she'd took a tumble and they headed for the trees due to the rain they mustered up an "r u ok" and said they were from Billsley and that it was pretty good. They didn't seem 2 b as friendly as u guys. I'll b ok cos my parents live just up the road from Billsley and I can store the buggy in the shed!!!
Newbie One Posted September 28, 2005 Report Posted September 28, 2005 One good thing about all this rain is that when I get back in he buggy for more practice at least the ground will be nice and soft when I fall out!!!
evo1422 Posted September 28, 2005 Report Posted September 28, 2005 It's supposed to be ok tomorrow, sunny with 10mph wind, should be ok to try the new board i hope

Newbie One Posted September 28, 2005 Report Posted September 28, 2005 Don't want to burst your bubble but its due to rain later on in the day/evening. Why is it that the only time that they can forecast the weather correctly is when they say it's gonna rain????
MadgeSkywalker Posted September 28, 2005 Report Posted September 28, 2005 we going to get LHF official site sorted out so we going to need a mug shot of you all.
evo1422 Posted September 28, 2005 Report Posted September 28, 2005 Will 10 mph be enough to board with, with my pepper 3.5
evo1422 Posted September 28, 2005 Report Posted September 28, 2005 have a look at this weather site. http://www.xcweather.co.uk/
Newbie One Posted September 28, 2005 Report Posted September 28, 2005 Will 10 mph be enough to board with, with my pepper 3.5 You'd best let Madge answer that one cos I haven't got a clue!! You''ll have to get Dave to take the pickies of us when we're flyin, or attempting to fly, then he can get it set up on the web.
Newbie One Posted September 28, 2005 Report Posted September 28, 2005 Thats a better site for the wind direction and speed than what the MET office site has to offer.
evo1422 Posted September 28, 2005 Report Posted September 28, 2005 Its pretty acurate as well, it got the gust's right for the other day when every one was getting pulled all over the place.
