Melissa Posted January 19, 2008 Author Report Posted January 19, 2008 well i tested the north and the mystic and the mystic was by far the better of the two in the way of comfort and when i say tested i mean it felt a bit silly but it made such a difference!!!! Baggsy Posted January 19, 2008 Report Posted January 19, 2008 the biggest issue with females in harnesses is the harness riding up and literally squeezing the air out of you.. the only way to find this out is have a kite attached to you for about an hour ..but the mYstic is one of the most popular along with dakine. now all you need to do is train up a kite bitch!! koma Posted January 20, 2008 Report Posted January 20, 2008 Just a word of warning; you might want to swap around that metal clasp on the right hand side of the harness. A fair few people over at SeaBreeze have had issues with it coming unclipped if you rotate your body in a particular way; usually whilst riding toeside right foot forward. I'm referring to the J-shaped clip that you use just after you've done up the velcro straps. The Mystic Warrior '07 that i bought from KitePower a few weeks ago had already had it swapped around so big thanks to Goshen & the crew in Geelong. Oh, and looks good Mel! I was umming and aahing between the white, the black/gold and the black/red and ended up going with the black/red. The white was a little too 'oooooh' for me, but looks great for ya! Quote
Melissa Posted January 20, 2008 Author Report Posted January 20, 2008 Well when i get up to ridding toeside I'll address that issue but at the moment i have to master getting up on the board!!!!!! Thanks for the advice though Mel Quote

Thanks for the advice though Ah, you'll be riding toeside in no time at all! Then you'll be boosting bigger air than Joel. Quote

schultzie Posted January 21, 2008 Report Posted January 21, 2008 i just used mine yesterday got it form the guys at kamikaze kites and it is seriously an unreal herness, you will have no problems with comfort, i will still need to get a bit more use to mine becasue when i did a rotation the harness supports me better but i dont feel that i have the same body control but ill get use to it... cant complain with the comfort Quote
koma Posted January 21, 2008 Report Posted January 21, 2008 I'll mention now that i've had my Mystic Warrior now for about 8 sessions and it's just starting to loosen up and fit me better. Am now able to tighten it up a bit more than i used to, and it's stopped wriggling around or riding up like it did a bit when i first got it. Quote
.Joel Posted January 26, 2008 Report Posted January 26, 2008 Well today we had progress... Went up to the local oval tonight and started off with a Peter Lynn Impulse trainer kite teaching her how to use the bar. Didn't take her long to adapt to it as she can already fly a kite on handles in a buggy. About 20 minutes of mucking around on the trainer kite and then I pumped up my 10m Ocean Rodeo Rise, showed Mel the basics of setting up your bar and lines etc and then spent some time going over the safety systems. After showing her for a few minutes how the kite flys on depower etc works I handed it over. Admittedly it was light winds, but she did very very well. Regards, .Joel Quote
