wallis Posted May 26, 2005 Report Posted May 26, 2005 Just wondered if there are any other beginner kiters going to wallop for me to have a practice flying with cos bf to good for me and be off boarding about the field lol hey:D this weekend last year was the first time i got on a board with a kite... i done all the wrong things , concerning the things that people are ment to do... because i was used to being in a park by myself... ( but thats another storey) but i must admit... i walked a long way to do it:D my advice is, ask your chap were to set up. and fly... dont be affaid to shout at people if you feel our going to get closer than friends... theres plenty of space to find a little bit of your own wallop... just dont do what i done.... last year i had a 4 mtr firebee and a 7 buster.... this year i have no girlfriend, but some nice kites;) Quote
GaRRy Posted May 27, 2005 Report Posted May 27, 2005 last year i had a 4 mtr firebee and a 7 buster.... this year i have no girlfriend, but some nice kites;) The big question is which is the cheaper hobby ? :D:D Quote
anna1599968635 Posted May 27, 2005 Report Posted May 27, 2005 im not that great i'll be there on my landboard flying around....see ya there come say hi. Quote
eifion Posted May 27, 2005 Report Posted May 27, 2005 I'll be flying an Arc for pretty much the first time at wallop - so please shout at me if I look like I'm doing anything stupid / dangerous!! Quote
eifion Posted May 27, 2005 Report Posted May 27, 2005 You know how to do it Eifion? In theory yeah, I've read the manual, watched the video. Just that my only time on it so far is a quick fly without a safety leash, which ended up in me doing a pretty good superman impression before letting go. Luckily uninjured on landing and was able to peg it downwind after the kite! Such behaviour will not be appreciated at wallop, so I have the two ring safety system thing set up now. Still to get it into the air though. Quote
rasga Posted May 27, 2005 Report Posted May 27, 2005 Just find someone to help you with the arc, always nice to know that someone can grab the wingtip to help you launch at the begining! Quote
Spook Posted May 27, 2005 Report Posted May 27, 2005 Well if you want a hand mate then come find me I've been flying my G2's for a couple of months now and a 1510 before that. Quote
Plugus Maximus Posted May 27, 2005 Report Posted May 27, 2005 I too shall be the owner of a new arc (15m GII) this weekend though I have put m00fs bomba through it's paces! (someone has too!). Just watch out for a lanky dude getting hoiked everywhere!!!!! Can't wait! K Quote
gigglefairy Posted May 27, 2005 Report Posted May 27, 2005 The big question is which is the cheaper hobby ? :D:D I think a kiting girlfriend is the most expensive hobbie (thank you for my landboard Sweetie...) :D Quote
