marqueemark Posted April 28, 2005 Report Posted April 28, 2005 I have been to Cypruss twice kitesurfing, and will be heading back again this year. In june there is a reliable sea breeze from lunchtime onwards. Both times I stayed in Pissouri Bay, in between Paphos and Laranaca. The main beach is called palimari. Wind comes from the SW, IIRMC and most days I used a 13M kite, sometimes smaller. Have a look at kitebeaches.com for a full list of beaches. I beleive Aiya Napa is about an hours drive from Palimari... Quote
alastairy2k Posted April 28, 2005 Report Posted April 28, 2005 more advice if possible cheers How's about going to the website I posted and leaving posts on their forum for more info - you'll then get answers from people who live out there...... Quote
marqueemark Posted April 28, 2005 Report Posted April 28, 2005 Or why not email alex at surf cypress. he is a top guy, runs a shop as well as the school in Palimari and will be able to give you any advice you require... Quote

KiteItRight Posted July 24, 2006 Report Posted July 24, 2006 im going to aiya napa on wednesday. it was a mates holiday origianlly but im gonna bring all my kit. i heard the best place nearest aiya napa was larnaca. but does anyone know how far larnaca is from aiya napa drive time? Quote
spanked Posted July 25, 2006 Report Posted July 25, 2006 Not heard of kitesurfing in Larnaca. The best places for kitesurfing are just past Limmasol, Paramali is the most used beach but it is difficault to find. Pop into Surf-Cyprus in Pissouri about 10.30 in the morning and ask them for directions or follow them down to the beach. Its probably about an hour drive. Quote
FUJILA Posted July 25, 2006 Report Posted July 25, 2006 OFF in october!! would be glad of any reviws from u guysd who have already been!! ROB:D Quote
Den Posted July 25, 2006 Report Posted July 25, 2006 Cyprus was a winner last year. I kited 11 out of fourteen days. beach near Episkopi and posouri, you'll see the kites from the main road. My main kites were 9 and 12 with a couple of 16 days. Craig at surf-cyprus is very friendly. Winds are cross-on every afternoon. The beach is used only by kiters, during the week you'll count 10 kites at most, weekends a bit more traffic and the calm med..wish I was going back this year. Quote
