Loki Posted March 22, 2005 Report Posted March 22, 2005 I voted kiteskating. Sorry mate. Fraid you can't beat it for clear concise information. Loki Quote
Mookster Posted April 14, 2005 Report Posted April 14, 2005 I just got a 'page not found' error message when trying to access kiteblading.com. So I had to vote for the others!!! Quote
ewing Posted April 16, 2005 Report Posted April 16, 2005 to me, blading indicates inline wheeled skates whereas skating indicates ice skates on ice. which are you shooting for? Quote
dmb Posted June 10, 2005 Report Posted June 10, 2005 to me, blading indicates inline wheeled skates whereas skating indicates ice skates on ice. which are you shooting for? That's what I thought - that it was a choice of which name was best (kiteblading of course ) but both sites exist so I guess it's a poll on which one is best. Quote
afpe45 Posted September 7, 2005 Report Posted September 7, 2005 @Kite Blader, dmb and Loki. Kiteskating good for info, but niether have links to UK dealers of trail/kite skates that actualy stock them, any ideas where to get them in the uk m8's:confused: afpe45. Quote
Loki Posted September 8, 2005 Report Posted September 8, 2005 Keep a close eye on the for sale section here... That's were I got mine (thanks moomin ) They do appear occasionaly, there was another set a couple of months ago. Failing that you could build some doomwheels... Loki Quote
afpe45 Posted September 8, 2005 Report Posted September 8, 2005 @Loki. on the subject of doomwheels, have you used any if so how do you rate them, the only bugbear is I will have to buy a pair of inline skates to make them DOH!!. afpe45:cool: Quote
Loki Posted September 9, 2005 Report Posted September 9, 2005 @Loki. on the subject of doomwheels, have you used any if so how do you rate them, the only bugbear is I will have to buy a pair of inline skates to make them DOH!!. afpe45:cool: Nope, I was thinking about it when I found a pair of terraskates. They look like they might be quite hard on the ankles cos of the height the axles are off the ground. Terraskates are tough enough and they are much closer to the ground. You ought to be able to locate a pair of second hand skates to try it though. Our local charity shop had some a couple of weeks back (gone now). I thought about buying some cheap ski bindings and making some up using them and a pair of ski boots instead too. Pretty sure that would work well enough. Loki Quote
Kite Blader Posted September 10, 2005 Author Report Posted September 10, 2005 If you are looking for a pair of off road inlines that deliver worldwide (including the UK) try: http://www.kiteblading.com/php/blades.php This provides a link and information through to the supplier of the skates Good luck, Charlie Quote
Bill Benson Posted September 11, 2005 Report Posted September 11, 2005 Charlie: just noticed your site (www.kiteblading.com) has become quite a bit more commercialized since I last was there, what's up? Quote
Kite Blader Posted September 26, 2005 Author Report Posted September 26, 2005 Hi Bill, Good to hear from you mate. Am actually selling the site so thought I would make it a little more commercial before putting it on the market. Dont really have time to maintain the site now as I am working on a new venture: www.myleisuretime.org Cheers Charlie Quote
