not been on here in a while...roundhay is fine as long as your not being a twat with the kite and board etc. Jimmy lives in the top of the flats overlooking the park and people have said that he is a bit of an arse when he sees kiters and boards.....dont worry about that stupid old fool! just fly the kite..ive never had a problem

Also was wondering if anyone knew what the deal was with Tinshill top. why have they fenced it all off and what the hell are they doing to the vast amount of open space there once was which was ok for flying the kites! If anyone knows anything please tell me! i drive past it every day and get more fustrated not konwoing whats going on....why do they never put up signs explaing what they are planning to do or are doing....rant over

Hi I am at Leeds uni and was just wondering if there was any kitesurfers at leeds uni. I was just wondering as would be cool to get a group together as would make life as a kitesurfer in the middle of the country much easier with travel and stuff.

Hey all,

I have been living in Leeds now for the past 5years. Haven't been flying at all since I have been here untill about 2weeks when I brushed the dust off my stacker 10. I have to say I have well and truly got the bug back, and now looking for a new kite :)

Only problem now is finding people to go with. Do people still meet up and how often? Cann anyone point me in the direction of a club or group that I can join? Am based in Otley but happy to travel to fly with u guys.

Cheers Si

I'm also in Otley, and shortly expecting to get my first kite - a nice 3m Riot

Drop me a PM if you want to meet up some time - hopefully once this snow has gone. No fun scudding on snow - you get it all up your trouser legs..

I have to admit even though i'm in leeds i don't tend to fly locally, at least not for some time. The beaches are more fun.

If the weathers not to bad though and you're needing some one to fly with drop me a pm and if i'm about i'll join you. I'm based near headingly though so i have no idea where the flying sites are up in Otley though i can find my way to Roundhey park or Bedquilts Field fairly quickly.

I usually fly either on the football fields near the river, or go to the stray in harrogate.

Never been down to roundhay but I hear it's a good place to kite. Might give you a shout one of these days - when the weather is a bit nicer lol.

If you're going anytime soon chuck me a PM too

Hey.

I just started flying kites. I've been up roundhay so far. Total beginner. Let me know if you go kiting in leeds at all. If its okay with you, i could do with some help - i don't know anyone who kites at all!

thanks
