shadowphax Posted August 6, 2004 Report Posted August 6, 2004 Anyone up for a meeting in Portsmouth for a bit of kiting and boarding (wind permitting). I'll be there Saturday visiting family and have arranged to meet up with Cobbsunited for a fly either at Port Solent or Farlington playing fields. Farlington is the best bet due to larger size but is very wind direction sensitive (not good if coming from a northerly direction). Anyone interested? Quote
Spook Posted August 6, 2004 Report Posted August 6, 2004 Correction, Port Solent is better cos it's not all rough like Farlington and full of irrigation and the wind is much nicer at PS cos it doesn't come over the motorway. Where is this Portsmouth place anyway?? Quote
Spook Posted August 6, 2004 Report Posted August 6, 2004 Oi Cobbs, come to think of it how come you're arranging to meet up with all these other people and not us Quote
shadowphax Posted August 6, 2004 Author Report Posted August 6, 2004 I met up with Cobbsunited at Easter to go through flying a Frenzy for the first time. I've since sold mine as I just couldn't get along with the depower on a board. I think he's having similar problems. Hopefully we'll meet up on Saturday then. I thought Port Solent looked small but I bow to your expwerience as I never actually flown there. Farlington wasn't that bad when we tried it at Easter. The drainage strips (sand filled) did make boarding 'interesting' though but the field is nice and large. Quote
Heym Posted August 6, 2004 Report Posted August 6, 2004 PS ROCKS! Farlington ok, but dangerous as hell and scary and full of chavs sometimes...other then that, its ok....Go to port solent though, you wont regret it Quote
