Blue Ice Posted June 10, 2004 Author Report Posted June 10, 2004 Well the prob is, i have a small car and i dont really want it in the back! i have alot of m8s and tbh i need space for them in the back aswell lol For now i think ill have it in the back but i shall look into it further! its not about the time setting it up etc, its about the fact that i can bring my m8s with me aswell as the buggy Thanks guys for reading and putting your thoughts across though... so many good ideas! :-) Quote
TCPM Posted June 12, 2004 Report Posted June 12, 2004 If you take the front fork off from the headset, the rest of the buggy does fit in the back of a saxo with the back seat down and rear wheels on - that way it's only 1 bolt to undo! I'll go and take some photos of my rack for you though in a bit...... Quote
TCPM Posted June 12, 2004 Report Posted June 12, 2004 Here you go - I've taken some photos and made some notes - I hope this helps you!! Click Here Quote

Beachburn Posted June 13, 2004 Report Posted June 13, 2004 I get my Flexi buggy in the back of my small Honda civic with the back wheels off and only need to put one seat down to do this. As its an old car I'm not concerned with the sand the buggy deposits in the car. Have used my old bike rack to transport the buggy when I have the wide axle on - have to put the axle on the arms on the rack and the buggy along the top of the car and fasten it on with a ratchet strap - looks mad with the buggy on top of the car, but with the Honda being low the buggy is just to long to put on the car any other way. RONZELL Posted June 16, 2004 Report Posted June 16, 2004 Nice idea. Just a few things to be aware off first….not digging but would like to see it work for you. If you were to produce this item then serious Product Liability cover would be needed as if the product failed and the buggy parted from the car then you could have a potential death on you hand from the car driver behind. Since Sep 11 it’s virtually impossible to get hold of unless you go with the kite mark. Parastorm is bound to have patented it…do a search before you start spending serious money:confused: About 3 years ago I saw Parastorm with one that cantilevered over the car when you opened the boot………good but it looked like it would cost a mint! You can seriously jeopardise a potential patent if it is displayed to the public before filing. You may depending upon the paint and the car type, were away the paint directly under the front wheel as the car oscillates………..the solution is to drive at 100mph+ to lift the front wheel. If you hit the brakes hard will it fly off and launch it into orbit??  Quote
cboshier Posted June 16, 2004 Report Posted June 16, 2004 did you take the pic down already or is it just me tonight ? Quote
HD462 Posted June 16, 2004 Report Posted June 16, 2004 Yep, he took it down. A couple of us advised him on the other thread (now deleted) to keep it to himself until he looks into getting it patented. Quote
