toeside
a few of the locals here kiteboard in winter, but since i grabbed a landboard they are starting to think winter on the sand is a better option. my balls were a good few shades of darker purple then they usually are last winter session on the water. toeside
schmik
Went out the other day.... max of 13 degrees. Cold SW wind upto 30kn. The parts of you covered in the wesuit are OK. My face and hands suffered!!! I'm gonna get some gloves and cover my face in whale blubber. mike
Baggsy
i think justkitesurf uses a balaclava to keep his head warm...something about a brain shutdown if it is too cold
darkside
I try and kitesurf all year round.....mainly just on the lakes down here on the Central Coast, primarily because of the westerlys in the winter. Not to worried about the cold , but then again I am a Pom !!!! Used to windsurf in the winter in the old country and sometimes used to snow whilst I was out. Have an awesome "Sola Titanium" wetty which keeps me nice 'n warm and boots. Impact jackets are also good from keeping the chill from your chest and back. Crash hats are also the go ! .....I have one with the removable ear things which stop your ears from falling off in the cold winds. Go the balaclava !!!! and bring on the cold .....more room to play:yahoo:
