Furious D Posted February 20, 2004 Report Posted February 20, 2004 Well I'm off for my first visit to Brancaster this weekend. The weather reports are looking good and looking forward to meeting all the crew there on Saturday!! Quote
spooky Posted February 20, 2004 Report Posted February 20, 2004 If you have not yet left FD, hope to see you there, look out for Blue Frenzy's. If not will have to meet some other time, seeing as you are just down the road in Didcot. Do you know leathlefrog? Jon Quote
Spike J Posted February 20, 2004 Report Posted February 20, 2004 Look Forward to meeting you guys Quote
Ted Posted February 20, 2004 Report Posted February 20, 2004 Looking forward to meeting you too. Three from Oxford crew will be there. I'll be on the Yellow 9.5 Frenzy. I wonder if anyone will have a Voodoo, Guerilla or Flysurfer down there? I'm looking for a second kite... Ted Quote
Sky-Blu Posted February 20, 2004 Report Posted February 20, 2004 get to old hunstanton for the flysurfers, not far at all. there was a psycho 2 on the water yesterday so you might even get a glimpse of that. a few voodos around, and a good number of psychos and titans Quote
Ted Posted February 21, 2004 Report Posted February 21, 2004 Sky-Blu - thanks for the tip. Those are the kites I'd want to see. Will I stand a better chance of seeing those at old Hunt than Brancaster? It will be my first time up there. What's the difference between the sites and how far apart are they? Ted Quote
Guest Nevermind Posted February 21, 2004 Report Posted February 21, 2004 If you have not heard. Today there was an accident and i belive it was spooky who hurt his back. Look here http://www.flexifoil.com/community/forums/showthread.php?p=292734#post292734 For more info Craig Quote
Sky-Blu Posted February 21, 2004 Report Posted February 21, 2004 ted: old hunny is the place for flysurfers. they're sold in oceanside in hunstanton (near the kebab shop) so are very popular round there. saturday and sunday are the best time to see them. keep your eyes open for the psycho 2 during the week as it sometimes makes a secret outing with sven Quote
Lem Posted March 10, 2004 Report Posted March 10, 2004 Ted.. Speak to Sven at Oceanside if you want to play with a Voodoo. Adam (is he on this forum?) often kitesurfs at bran with a psycho or voodoo. Quote
Sky-Blu Posted March 10, 2004 Report Posted March 10, 2004 lol, bit behind on the date there matey. i'll have a 15.5m psycho sooner or later so can let people have a play on that Quote
Lem Posted March 10, 2004 Report Posted March 10, 2004 I was doing a search for voodoo threads when i came acroos this. Going for a 2nd-hand psycho then. nice!. I'm thinking a 14m voodoo will be my kite for this summer. See you at Bran soon mate.. Quote
Sky-Blu Posted March 10, 2004 Report Posted March 10, 2004 its not 2nd hand, its brand new and still packaged. nice deal, hopefully i'll get on with it and it'll be my light wind foil, and perhaps something for the water if it gets warm enough for me wont be at bran for a bit, but normally there if im out flying Quote
Ted Posted March 10, 2004 Report Posted March 10, 2004 Who's going to Brancaster this Saturday? Quote

Ted Posted March 12, 2004 Report Posted March 12, 2004 anyone know when the beach at Brancaster will be good tide-wise 2morrow (Saturday 14 march)? Quote
Windthings Posted March 12, 2004 Report Posted March 12, 2004 The tide plotter says Low Water at 0636 and High at 1109 Quote
Ted Posted March 12, 2004 Report Posted March 12, 2004 Thanks Windthings. I'm not local. Would 1pm be about the best time to start kitelandboarding? Quote
spooky Posted March 12, 2004 Report Posted March 12, 2004 Hi Doubt it as the tid will probelly still be in by then? You tend to get better beach conditions spit 1/3 and 2/3 either side of low water. Reason being is that the beach has to drain so even though the tide is out takes a while to drain, hence more useable after low tide than before. If that makes sence? Jon Quote

Jon hiya jon, how are the bruises? i was thinking of making a w/e of brancaster sometime over the next 5weeks as i have a uni holiday, would be good to come up and see all you guys - are you likely to be back in the saddle by then or is it gonna be more long term? best wishes:) Quote
Ted Posted March 12, 2004 Report Posted March 12, 2004 Lem - have u had a go on the 14m Voodoo? I need a light wind summer kite and woz wondering if that's the beast for me. I'm on a 9.5 03 Frenzy now. elmme know if u get a chance to fly it. I've seen a 7m Voodoo in light winds and it looks like it needs more wind than my Frenzy. Ted Quote
