Craig1973 Posted February 19, 2004 Report Posted February 19, 2004 Asked the seller of my 3m Blade 2 for the stats of the lines and he doesn't know. Says they're the bog standard ones that came with the kite. Does anyone know what length and strength lines come as standard on these babies? Quote
cloughy Posted February 19, 2004 Report Posted February 19, 2004 500lb by 300lb which is more than enough. they would go upto a 6.4m. Quote
freez Posted February 19, 2004 Report Posted February 19, 2004 my Blade II 3m came with standard recreational lines 300/200, i decided to upgrade these to 500/300 as i didnt wanna risk a line breaking when i was up in the air Quote
oc1rob Posted February 19, 2004 Report Posted February 19, 2004 If I remember correctly BII did not come with lines, most shops 'threw them in' but that basically means they could be anything upwards of 300/200lbs. If in doubt and worried change them and keep the ones you have as spares! Quote
cloughy Posted February 19, 2004 Report Posted February 19, 2004 i'm sure they are standard 500lb by 300lb. thats what you should get anyway. sorry if i'm wrong Quote
MadAndy71 Posted February 19, 2004 Report Posted February 19, 2004 I think it is like the bullets in the recommendation. You're right in saying they are not supplied but when I bought my B11 3m, I was told the recommended strength was 300/200. Doesn't mean to say another dealer wouldn't have recommended a stronger set though. Quote
brenski Posted February 20, 2004 Report Posted February 20, 2004 500lb/300lb high wind kite when you get used to it bigger kites can be flown on these strengths too because they're used in lighter winds Quote
za_sailer Posted February 20, 2004 Report Posted February 20, 2004 my BIII 3 came with 500/300 line set (well they were thrown in but you see wot i mean) Quote
Vdubber Posted February 20, 2004 Report Posted February 20, 2004 I got 500#\300# with my BIII at my dealers recommendation Quote
Craig1973 Posted February 20, 2004 Author Report Posted February 20, 2004 So, will my fellow flyers be able to tell what they are from looking at them by their thickness (obviously up-close, not in the air )? Quote
rasga Posted February 20, 2004 Report Posted February 20, 2004 usually its pretty easy to tell the difference between 700/500/300 Lb lines Quote
