npeac Posted December 20, 2003 Report Posted December 20, 2003 i will be up near newcastle over christmas time. is any one active in the area or want to tell me the best beaches for wind directions to save me a bit of time. i have tried tynemouth before as a previous surfing haunt and am aware of seaton but have not been there. has anyone tried the derwent reservoir, it gets a lot of cleanish wind. i asked last year and after a lot of head scratching it was agreed i could go out for a launch fee of 20 quid a day, neddless to say i didn't bother. cheers ppp Quote

surfdoode2 Posted September 28, 2012 Report Posted September 28, 2012 Is it actually £20 just to launch at Derwent reservoir? Was planning on going there tomorrow but that sounds ridiculous! Kitesurfing is free! Quote
