anc Posted October 11, 2003 Report Posted October 11, 2003 you know sometimes something happens and you can't buggy where you want to go(like back to your "base camp") and you need to walk with the kite in the air and take the buggy with you. I saw on a few videos people use a leash or a line to drag it behind you. I guess I should have one in my pocket in case I need it. but whats the line like? I guess it needs to be Y shaped. the two ends go to the footpegs and you hold the other end in your hand or something like that. but how do you keep the lines from tangling in the front wheel? I think my big tires would love to get a line tangled on them. anybody know what I'm talking about? Quote
Tom183 Posted October 11, 2003 Report Posted October 11, 2003 More like a "V" with a flat bottom: \_/ The handle keeps the lines away from the wheels, also gives some steering ability. Quote
kitemadgoth Posted October 11, 2003 Report Posted October 11, 2003 TRY A LENGTH OF CLIMBING ROPE TIED TO THE FRONT OF THE DOWNTUBE AND A KARIBEENER CLIMBING THINGY ON YOUR HARNESS TIE A LOOP IN THE ROPE PUT LOOP INTO KARIBEENER PULL B HIND U WHILE FLYING OR DRAGGING THE KITE Quote
Codename John Posted October 11, 2003 Report Posted October 11, 2003 If you pulled the buggy backwards (ie attached a V rope to the back axle) the buggy would steer itself? Quote
Lovekylie Posted October 11, 2003 Report Posted October 11, 2003 A bit of rote with a loop at each end,put the loop on the footpegs to pull the buggy I roll the ropeup and tap it to the back axle you can go week's with out using it and the day you need it you left it at base camp or in the car  Quote
anc Posted October 12, 2003 Author Report Posted October 12, 2003 It seems kinda useful to have in the pocket. I've been in situations where I'm pretty far from base camp and the wind changes so I can't get back. I was lucky cos my friends saw me struggling to get back and they drove a car there to pick me up. Quote
